Don’t know about his father but mother is a drug addict that he fought with all the time.
Grandmother owned the house she was living in and was planning on evicting her.
Shooter just moved in with grandmother.

And, what kind of relationship he had with his dad.

Also....the gaming/online tidbit is interesting. Seems to be a common theme, with these bad actors. That, and the no father figure, Rx drugs/emotional issues, etc.
