After my sweet boy of 18 yrs passed, I wasn’t planning on getting another cat. But I was unintentionally put together with my Proby and he betters my life.
10 cats is a lot! Yes, the ones gone now are waiting at Rainbow Bridge. 😻
Awe.
Just called to see if a refill was filled, paid $22.00 for it first, now $40.00.
Hubby picked up some dog food that was $6.00 more than last week.
SS is not going to cover all these price hikes.
Let’s Go BRANDON!!!
I saw, a few days ago, about a restaurant owner in Dallas that managed to get a good sized shipment of baby formula and gave it away.
Texas restaurant owner hands out free baby formula to families in need
Benji Arslanovski owns “Our Place,” a restaurant in Mansfield, Texas, and decided to try to get access to baby formula by going through his restaurant’s supplier, US Foods, which also supplies formula to hospitals and doctors’ offices, CBS News reported.
Arslanovski started by ordering six cases to distribute last Saturday, and the formula was gone in less than a day, he told USA Today. Our Place’s Facebook page has been updating families on when cans are available. So far the restaurant has distributed 56 cases of Gerber’s Gentle Pro infant formula, which amounts to 224 cans, USA Today reported.
Arslanovski had initially planned to sell the formula at cost, but then decided to give it away for free, after “watching the moms and dads who needed it so bad
In total, Arslanovski told The Washington Post that he had spent about $3,700 on the formula, but said he has no plans to stop until parents are able to find what they need elsewhere.
There are a lot of goof people out there.
We would get another cat, but at our age there’s a chance it would outlive us. We worry that they might not get the best care if that happened.
Then there’s my DH’s sister who died and left her condo in Brentwood, plus $800,000, to her two cats. The trustee could reside in the house caring for the cats until the last cat died. That was 20 years ago. We figure the trustee, a young single woman, scoured the shelters to the find look-alikes.
Come on down!
My DIL bought this beautiful plant, desert rose, from Africa. It’s hard to kill, but grows very slow. I was going to buy a young plant, but didn’t. The base of the plant is gorgeous and its mostly water!

Attention Media: A Monkeypox outbreak hit the United States in 2003.
There were 72 reported cases. 37 human cases were laboratory confirmed. Most cases led to a mild rash.
There were no deaths. Smallpox vaccines are 85% against the monkeypox virus. Now, curb your hysteria. pic.twitter.com/VNQr2145fh— Kyle Becker (@kylenabecker) May 22, 2022
Well, if some additional rescue cats got to live the High Life in their last years, I could live with it.
Not my money and really I'd feel strange spending cash left to me by others.
Grandma and I have our Treasure in the happy smiles of our children, grandkids and now their children. The property and money we may leave is just "stuff" by comparison.
Sounds like a fun day!
Glad there were a few shay spots to take a break from the sun/heat from.
And, sounds like you got some good deals.
And....the food and music are the icing on the cake!
Hubby has been wanting to stop at the Nimitz/WWII museum, for years. I’ll tell him you highly recommend it.
Thanks for the report.
It’s getting bad.
my cat now may outlive me, but so many animals don’t have any happiness or love in their life. He had obviously been abandoned, but he has a good life now and he has love. Who knows how long any of us will live?
“Grandma and I have our Treasure in the happy smiles of our children, grandkids and now their children.”
And that is what life is all about.
What a nice Texan that Dallas restaurant owner is!!
Our Walmart had a good supply of formula, the other day.
Eeeeew.
GOOD ones, norsky!
Weren’t most folks given the smallpox vax, prior to 1980s?
There’s an indoor gallery, but it was sold out, so we went to the back. So many pictures of heroes and a beautiful Japanese garden. Apparently he was a humble man, and only agreed to a memorial if it honored all the heroes. Admiral Nimitz was the guy that signed the peace agreement with Japan, and apparently he and the Japanese Admiral had great respect for each other.
There’s a restaurant across the street that was originally built many years ago, and it says the Admiral was born there.
True wisdom, my FRiend.
