Because I'm not interested in your childish "judo hold" that you think you've got on all these posters.

Why are you of all people posting a link to Wikipedia? You think "I see a Wikipedia cite and I immediately block all input after that."

There is plenty of information available about Judge Debevoise. Is he a relative of yours?

He's one of the greatest Democrats of the last 100 years - but you wouldn't know that from his Wikipedia entry. In fact, there isn't even a whisper about his claim to fame.

As a matter of fact, if you tried to edit the post to include the reasons, it would most likely get reverted.

Thanks very much for posting the Mariupol video.

Scott Ritter has been an excellent source for understanding the background of U.S. global war involvement as well as specifically this cataclysmic mistake.

Wars are always going on around the globe and to be honest while I have great sympathy for anyone caught in one I usually pay little attention to the specifics. But, as a very patriotic American this is “my circus and these are my monkeys.”

Watching U.S. self inflicted disintegration is unbearable...:-(

Do you think she and the LPR government are actually Soros stooges working for the CIA to cover up the deaths in the LPR?

........

That is exactly what I think. I am a 8 yr Vietnam vet and I am very familiar of how this game is played. We did not need to weaponize Ukraine to fight Russia back in 2014. The war is our fault and they do not want it to end until the last Ukrainian is dead and who ever else is around them. Such a business. And you are a rah rah guy for these bastards that send our boys to useless wars.

Actually not, although I was not one of the people who worked against guys like you during the Vietnam war.

So you really think that the CIA is controlling the government in the Russian allied separatist regions of Ukraine? That's wild.

"Putin is defending Russia from being encircled by NATO, if NATO is not aggressive then why does it exist?"

Absurd! Were you born yesterday? Educated in a liberal university? Or by Moscow? Where or where did you swallow such propaganda? The only reason NATO exists, which its nations have been reluctant to fund, is due to the manifest threat of Russia. Likewise the US has been fighting proxy wars against Russia since 1950, and Russia is the main reason such a large US military has been needed.

Up to June 2021, the NATO alliance estimated that 10 nations were spending 2% or more of their GDP on defence. But latest estimates [4-22] show now only eight countries are achieving the target with Romania and France falling below the 2% threshold. - https://www.forces.net/news/world/nato-which-countries-pay-their-share-defence). As said and ignored ,after the collapse of the Soviet Union the US defense budget went into a long period of decline, finally decreasing over 33%,

If Putin actually wants to see NATO spend even less on its arms then it needs to cease invading countries, but instead under Putin it has only manifested that Russia is a threat to its neighbors. Thus either Putin is stupid or he really wants to be Vlad the invader, conqueror of countries, and NATO had better increase its spending.

" Tell Russia how NATO doesn’t threaten anybody after seeing NATO bomb Yugoslavia and Libya "

So that is your response to the refutation of your absurd implicit premise that NATO is the aggressor against a peaceful Putin? You simply are continuing to manifest ignorance and illogic. The argument was never that NATO is not a threat to anyone, but that unlike "we will nuke you" invader Putin, NATO has never been in invader of peaceful countries, and while I disagree with Clinton's adventure, the Kosovo war was in response to civil war, and as a result of "atrocities committed by the police, paramilitary groups, and the army...The Contact Group—an informal coalition of the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, and Russia—demanded a cease-fire, the withdrawal of Yugoslav and Serbian forces from Kosovo, the return of refugees, and unlimited access for international monitors." But, "The Yugoslav and Serbian forces responded with a ruthless counteroffensive and engaged in a program of ethnic cleansing."[1`]

Thus international intervention was seen as warranted, but which did not have as its goal that of taking over a country, and instead "In June 1999, NATO and Yugoslavia signed a peace accord to end the Kosovo War...In February 2008, Kosovo declared independence from Serbia. Subsequently, Yugoslavia ceased to exist in 2003 and became the individual countries of Serbia and Montenegro." [2]

In contrast, Putin is himself an oppressor of freedom (I would likely quickly end up in prison simply for evangelizing) whose invasions on exaggerated pretenses are unwarranted, and who leaves the area worse than before out of lust for control.

In any case, it is Russia, which NATO cannot conquer even is it tried, that is the military threat to NATO, which exists for defensive purposes, which Putin has only shown to be warranted.

Now that I see you are quite the newbie but I see nothing on your home page, so I ask, just how old are you? Do you claim to be a Christian? Do you support Putin outlawing any expression of faith apart from the RO? Do you think Israel is the victim or the Palestinians? Do you also think the holocaust was fabricated?

*NATO said they would not expand after the fall of the Berlin wall, and they lied

*NATO bombed Serbia because Serbia was fighting off radical muslims and NATO needs to protect radical Muslims so they can overrun Europe and replace the native population

*NATO kept adding nations on the borders of Russia and filling them with offensive weapons aimed at Russia

*The CIA toppled the elected governments of Ukraine and Georgia with governments that would host offensive weapons aimed at Russia

*Our own government admitted just last month that we had various biolabs, as Tucker mentioned, in Ukraine and that they admitted it would be bad if Russia secured them (why is that unless we were doing something illegal, hmmm?)

*Also as soon as the legit Ukraine government was overthrown in 2014 we had the entire Democratic party sending “officials” over there, and in the 2020 election we had the Ukraine ambassador announce that Donald Trump should not be re-elected as President

So yeah sorry not sorry I am not some mindless slob who will fall for your neocon propaganda, you guys over there at Langley and the Guardian need to do better because your historical revisionism doesn’t work anymore

Despite your preference for propaganda, even some actual history utterly fails to make your case that NATO is a threat to a peaceful Russia, and it remains that you are supporting an anti-Christ dictator who is the real threat to peaceful nations, as is supporting the Left in this country, while opposing the latter cannot justify supporting the former.

Now answer the questions I asked you.

First off Putin is not the one overtaxing me, cheating Trump at elections, inflating my money, propagandizing my kids to be transgender, restricting my second amendment rights, calling me racist for being white or banning me from social media.

Secondly I am not answering dumb questions that are distractions from the fact that I just destroyed you with facts and you cannot respond

Secondly I am not answering dumb questions that are distractions from the fact that I just destroyed you with facts and you cannot respond" Once again you are manifesting irrational illogical reasoning, and can only imagine that you actually have a valid argument for support of your dictator. As stated, to support either the Left or Putin is anti-Christ, though you refuse to even affirm you are not, but actions of both can be supported when and if they, for their own reasons, do something right, as Putin is in opposing LGBTQ. But invading and devastating Ukraine in his lust for glory, as well as his oppressive dictatorial rule which he seeks to expand, is only to be opposed.

And your refusal to answer pertinent questions as to your beliefs is consistent with your support of an anti-christ dictator on this pro-God, pro-Bible, pro-USA forum. Support of Putin who threatens to destroy all of America is hardly consistent with that.

Meaning you are ignorant of anti-Christ Putin outlawing any expression of faith apart from the RO, and of the shorthand "RO" for Russian Orthodox, his state church of KBG linkage. Since you seem to have missed the reality:

Moscow church destroyed in sign of new Russian repression Posted on Sep 26, 2012 | by Jill Nelson

MOSCOW (BP) -- It was in the early hours of the morning on Sept. 6 when Pastor Vasili Romanyuk's phone rang. A group of men backed by local police were demolishing his Holy Trinity Pentecostal Church, housed in a three-story building nestled in a Moscow suburb. As word spread, congregants arrived at the scene hoping to save the building, but their efforts were futile. By dawn the church was in ruins and some of its most valuable contents were missing.

An isolated incident? A misunderstanding? Analysts watching the current climate in the former Cold War country don't think so: "This destruction of the church is about as concrete of evidence as you can get that something very bad and very troubling is taking place," said Katrina Lantos Swett, chair of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom. "This could not have happened without the backing, support, and implicit blessing of the police."

The incident is just one sign of deteriorating freedoms in Russia, and behind the scenes a cozy relationship between the Kremlin and the Russian Orthodox Church has raised more than a few eyebrows. As President Vladimir Putin digs into his third term, a number of Kremlin crackdowns involving vague interpretations of the country's extremism law and other human-rights abuses are troubling signs that the country has slipped into a familiar, repressive era.

"When you have unknown people backed by the police coming out at midnight to begin tearing down a church, you know something doesn't smell right," Lantos Swett said.

Officials evicted Holy Trinity Church from its original building in 1995 and relocated the church to the eastern Moscow suburb. The congregation used its own funds to construct a new building and repeatedly battled officials over permits. The church demolition and its history reflect an emerging pattern: Authorities confiscate land from non-favored religious communities and force the congregation to relocate to a remote suburb, the religious leaders apply for permits that are subsequently denied, and officials confiscate (once again) or demolish the relocated congregation, citing lack of proper documentation.

Pastor Romanyuk and a small group of the church's 550 congregants arrived on site around 3:30 a.m. as about 45 men claiming to be civil volunteers blocked them from the building and threw stones. "When I arrived, I just burst into tears," 25-year-old Natalya Cherevichinik told The Moscow Times as she surveyed the destruction. "I couldn't believe that something that had been built over several years could be destroyed in a few hours."

Russian Evangelicals Leery of Orthodox Church, Friday, December 30, 2011:

class="adjusted">MOSCOW, Russia -- For decades, the Russian Orthodox Church was persecuted under the Soviet Union's Communist Party.

Since the early 1990s, the church has grown in size and influence as its relationship with the Russian government has improved significantly.

However, that cozy relationship worries the country's evangelicals.

Threats Against Evangelicals

For eight years, Yuri Sipko ran one of the largest Baptist organizations in Russia. Now, 20 years after the fall of Communism, he worries about the growing threats against the country's evangelical movement.

"The collapse of Communism was supposed to usher in an era of greater religious freedom, but I'm concerned we are moving in the wrong direction," Sipko said.

What makes the Russian evangelicals very concerned is an emerging relationship between the Russian government and the Russian Orthodox Church.

"For example, the government recently introduced religious classes based on the principals of the Orthodox Church in public schools," Sipko said.

"Then late last year, the Russian president announced an initiative to appoint Orthodox chaplains to all army units," he said. "Our constitution clearly states no religion can be the state religion."

Russia Church-State Relations

Russia watchers credit two men, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and President Dmitry Medvedev, for elevating the church's prominence. The state media has also played a key role, often showing the leaders attending church services.

Sergey Ryakhovski knows both men well. As head of Russia's Pentecostal Union, he meets regularly with top government and Orthodox Church leaders.

Ryakhovski worries that the Orthodox Church's influence is coming at the expense of religious freedom, especially for minority groups such as Christians, Jews, Muslims, and Buddhists.

"There are so many laws and by-laws that regulate religious life in Russia," Ryakhovski said. "For example, evangelical Christians just can't go out and buy a church building or buy a piece of land to build a church."

"Plus, criticizing or challenging the Orthodox Church is not a task for all," he added.

Orthodox Church Revival

The Russian Orthodox Church on the other hand has had it easy in recent times after decades of state persecution.

Church buildings that were destroyed during the Soviet era have been rebuilt with Russian taxpayer money. In the past 20 years, the government has spent hundreds of millions of dollars restoring some 23,000 churches.

Most Russians say they belong to the Orthodox Church. Yet CBN News found mixed reactions on the streets of Moscow to the growing bond between church and state

At Expense of All Others, Putin Picks a Church

By CLIFFORD J. LEVY Published: April 24, 2008

STARY OSKOL, Russia —

It was not long after a Methodist church put down roots here that the troubles began.

First came visits from agents of the F.S.B., a successor to the K.G.B., who evidently saw a threat in a few dozen searching souls who liked to huddle in cramped apartments to read the Bible and, perhaps, drink a little tea. Local officials then labeled the church a “sect.” Finally, last month, they shut it down.

There was a time after the fall of Communism when small Protestant congregations blossomed here in southwestern Russia, when a church was almost as easy to set up as a general store. Today, this industrial region has become emblematic of the suppression of religious freedom under President Vladimir V. Putin.

Just as the government has tightened control over political life, so, too, has it intruded in matters of faith. The Kremlin’s surrogates in many areas have turned the Russian Orthodox Church into a de facto official religion, warding off other Christian denominations that seem to offer the most significant competition for worshipers. They have all but banned proselytizing by Protestants and discouraged Protestant worship through a variety of harassing measures, according to dozens of interviews with government officials and religious leaders across Russia.

You are still engaging in irrational, illogical argumentation, akin to Muslim claims against Israel (and who knows what your secret position on that is), for the issue is not that Ukraine (whose historical internal corruption i myself have cited) is above board and all-virtuous in its defensive war against Putin, but that the latter is the aggressor invader, who has no business invading Ukraine, who has enough problems and issues it needs to deal with without massive destruction by a vastly larger and more powerful country whose dictator lusts for more dominion.
