Wisconsin 10-year-old Lily Peters was sexually assaulted after her strangling death at the hands of a boy four years her senior earlier this week, prosecutors revealed in a harrowing bond hearing Wednesday afternoon.
Judge Benjamin Lane agreed to prosecutors' request to set bond at $1 million and ordered the defendant to avoid contact with minors, except his siblings, so long as such contact is supervised.
Prosecutors identified the suspect through his initials and only as a 14-year-old boy and alleged that the eighth-grader admitted to physically assaulting the child before strangling her to death and then sexually assaulting her.
"Protection of [the] community also is necessary in this case given his statements regarding his intentions and his statements regarding that when he did get off the trail, he punched the victim in the stomach, knocked her to the ground, essentially strangled her, hit her with a stick, before strangling her to the point of death -- before he then sexually assaulted her," Chippewa County District Attorney Wade Newell told the judge at the bond hearing.

There’s a great, detailed, description in “The Savage Kingdom” about how the Indians in colonial times took care of weasels like this: Spread eagle, build a fire, cut off pieces and throw them into the fire, throw the scalp and face last. That's certainly true. In Roswell, NM two shot and killed two other slightly older teens two weeks ago. The suspected reason was to rob the other teens who had just purchased an illegal gun from someone else. One fled and the other, a 14 year-old, turned himself in to police and was released after an interview.
The one who fled was 15 y-o and was found in a trailer near Ruidoso; he will be released following posting of only a $10,000 cash or surety bond. His mother who helped him escape was also arrested but her status is unreported.
In New Mexico you have to be let out of jail unless a judge finds you are a danger to the community. But by releasing one and providing only a low bail amount for the other, it's enough for this judge to let two murderers loose again.
The police say that that the suspect stated he planned to rape and kill Lily when he left the house to go after her.
I don’t think I could bring him home if her were my son, even in shock and with a broken heart. Maybe the family will think better of it.
The Law protects bastards such as this. They make money off them. They [the Law] don’t make money from law abiding Citizens. If there was any Justice, he would be taken to the nearest tree, given a rope necktie and have his feet raised about a foot off the ground. And let the buzzards eat him.
Sounds like a proper response to a horrible crime.

Gotta wonder about race. That’s a pretty violent attack, with some seriously deviant impulses. Not saying a White kid couldn’t be this depraved, but the description of the crime is so much more common with the acts of criminals of a particular other ethnicity.

I am at a loss. The two twelve year old girls who attempted to kill another young girl had their names released since it was an adult crime. Why not this young man who actually was arrested for murder?

Well, it’s true. That’s why the bail is so high. In Wisconsin there is no such as remand.
I think some people are born with a predilection to being psychopaths. From there, some choose murder. There is no “fix” once that line is crossed other than execution.
Being the son of her mother’s boyfriend, does not normally make him her cousin.

I seriously doubt that the murderer is in for a rough ride. But I know damn well that the public he is soon to be unleashed upon is in for a rough ride. He has many more murderers in his future. And very likely a bright future in Democrat Party politics.
If his goal was rape and he didn't care if he also committed murder, I'd say she lucked out on the post-murder rape part.
