German government funds 'research' project that doxxed Libs of Tik Tok

The former Twitter employee tried to justify Lorenz appearing at Libs of Tik Tok's family residence to harass her relatives.

The hit piece on the woman behind Libs of Tik Tok by the Bezos-funded Washington Post's professional victim Taylor Lorenz was based on a cyberstalking thread by an ex-Twitter employee who is working on a German-backed project.

Software developer Travis Brown, a former Twitter open source advocate per LinkedIn, unearthed Libs of Tik Tok's history on Twitter and posted a thread Saturday detailing information about the account's profile changes.

Lorenz cited Brown's series of tweets in her WaPo report published Monday doxing the woman who created the Libs of Tik Tok sleuthing persona.

Brown is working on an ongoing project with support from Prototype Fund, an organization that provides financial support to Brown's so-called "Hatespeech-Tracker." Protoype Fund is a project of the Open Knowledge Foundation Germany, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

It will be interesting if hard evidence of this organization can be turned over the the German or EU prosecutors for review and indictment. The Europeans way worse on breach of privacy issues with tougher laws and motivation to action than the US.

Well it was funded by the German government, so it won’t go anywhere. They still hate Jews.

It’s a Twitter account that finds libs/leftist activists on Twitter talking about themselves, many are teachers talking about grooming children and teaching them about transgender, some even kindergarten children.

“The idea was to let activist-types describe, in their own words, what they believe, unfiltered. The woman who created it called that account “Libs of TikTok.” Tucker Carlson

It’s been so successful at exposing the radicals that the creater has been doxxed.

So to explain where this comes from...

The funding comes from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The funding, as far as I know...did not exist prior to 2016.

I will say (since living in Germany for the past 9 years)...2016 is this unique year where Germans (particularly gov’t officials) freaked out over Trump beating Clinton.

I suspect that in 2017....with Twitter employees showing up and trying to convince everyone that social media is what got the Trump ‘win’...individuals felt the need to prevent such things from developing. If one digs into the funding...I would assume it began in 2018 (under Merkel Party officials) and the key phrase in their mind....they were preventing extreme right-wing or neo-Nazis from using social media in the future.

I also think that if you asked what services they were getting from the gov’t funding effort....they have virtually no idea (that’s how screwed-up the whole thing might be).

As for anyone in the EU or German government getting into a truth-commission setting? No, that will never happen. You’d have to have the injured party (in the US) trigger a German court episode and aim primary at the Federal Ministry who gave funding. That would trigger public embarrassment enough for the funding to halt.

How is this not foreign interference in an election?

That ship sailed a while ago with Bertelsmann owned publishing companies funneling money to American pols and enemediots through book deals.

Last night Tucker Carlson had Glenn Greenwald as a guest. He said the corporate media convinced itself that the real threat was not the CIA, Pentagon, NSA, etc (all of them on the side of the left), but was Trump, and they all were trying to undermine him, and anyone who supports Trump has to be dstroyed, their only crime is they have the wrong ideology.

From Tucker’s show last night...

Did the Biden administration have any role in this particular intel op? Why is the German government trying to shut down an American Twitter account posting about American teachers? And since she was the recipient, the willing recipient, of this information from a foreign government designed to destroy an American citizen, why hasn’t Taylor Lorenz, at the very least, registered under the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA)?

We seem to remember quite a bit of talk about this over the last year. We think there was an impeachment trial of it. Someone went to prison because of it, but Taylor Lorenz can take information from a foreign government to crush an American citizen, clearly as part of an Intel operation, and she’s a journalist in good standing at Jeff Bezos’ newspaper? Lots of questions here. We hope we can get to the bottom of all of them.

So far, none of this funding-chat business indicates it came prior to 2016 (if evidence does come up, then this is a whole other case), but this is funding that came after 2016 and this weird perception that German political elites had that far extreme people were using social media.

It would be curious to ask what this foundation was supplying WaPo and the NY Times in the 2020 election period.

You bring up an interesting ‘twist’ on the 2008 episode. The Arte folks mentioned in the article you listed....are a public TV network (not financially tied to the government, but financed by the mandatory TV tax on the general public). To fill content....Arte buys up documentary pieces. I will say of the 15-odd public-run TV networks...this is probably the least watched network in the country.

The Bertelsmann company is a private publishing ‘empire’ and you’d generally say they lean left, and have connections leading back to the SPD Party. Bertelsmann owns their weekly news magazine, Der Spiegel.

When the public tired of the public-TV business in the 1980s...it was Bartelsmann that financed to some degree commercial TV, and the arrival of RTL.

TIL Taylor Lorenz is actually 49 years old and not a millennial in her early 30s like she claims. She seems to be very sensitive about her age so please don't post this all over the internet, as a reporter blatantly lying about such a trivial matter could irreparably damage their credibility

“The Europeans way worse on breach of privacy issues with tougher laws and motivation to action than the US.”

They are also way worse on “hate speech” craziness as well. So it might be an interesting test since it puts these two competing values in direct conflict. We’ll see if they love their privacy more than they love enforcing ideological compliance.
