If the end of 2022 sees absolute chaos, it creates the opportunity for the present administration to declare a state of emergency to call off the fall elections. There would be a declaration that elections would be postponed until order is restored.
Under the scenario in the link, order will never be restored sufficiently to hold elections. The present administration and Congress would be authorized for life.
Elections went forward during the Civil War - if they try to call them off for anything less than it would be a final straw
the only logical reason for this administration to conduct itself as it is doing so would be if they intend for no elections in November....
In that scenario, Congress would seriously need a good supply of Body Guards.
