A fellow Freeper, whose name I sadly didn’t mark down said elegantly:

Putinistas are from these three groups:

1) Paid and unpaid Russian influence agents

2) Liberaltarians, who’d much rather hear Reagan say “Mr. Gorbachev! This wall is none of our business.”

3) Thoroughly demoralized conservatives, who instinctively side with the enemies of America just to stick it to what they see as The Man.

Fertilizer shortages mean our crop will be less this year. Western drought means the same.

A point that's lost on so many here on FR that have never spent day one on a farm and equate their "experience" at being "Look at those corn fields over there!"

I grew up in central Iowa ON A FARM, worked ON A FARM every damn' day and so did everyone I went to grade school through high school with.

The fact that fertilizer and chemical costs have risen 3x-5x (and continue to go up!) and that there will be shortages of both can only mean one thing: crop and food shortages are coming despite American Farmers absolute best efforts to feed the world.

Crop yields will be down this year due in very large part to Russia and China, the worlds top exporters of fertilizer, have cut off exports to the United States. These are facts and anyone who argues against them doesn't understand at all how farming works.

So many on here who haven't spent day one on a farm think farming is "put a seed in the ground, wait till it's done growing and harvest."

Wrong. It's a shit ton of work and so many things have to go right for the harvest to be plentiful. As of right now, every farmer in America knows what's working against them and they're already starting well behind the proverbial eight ball this year. The MORONS in Washington DC are certainly making their ability to grow food harder by the day.

Rising fuel costs are also going to have a HUGE impact on food prices next year because gee, no "green energy/solar powered tractors" yet. AOC will be getting right on that, right?

The food prices each and every one of us are paying today will be considered bargains by this time next year. Anyone who's not filling their pantry appropriately RIGHT NOW to help blunt the costs that are coming is a fool.

America's farmers need our prayers for the task they all have ahead. Plain 'n simple as that.

Sounds about right. Dennis Praeger blames it on vaccine misinformation from the government and other fake news causing some people to disbelieve everything.

I read that years ago. I think nowadays there is a 4th group.

Young nihilists, for whom everything is a joke and nothing matters.

We knew Baghdad Bob was lying because U.S. troops kept popping up in places where he was claiming there weren't any U.S. troops within 50 miles. Eventually, in the same camera frame.

So when the Russians start popping up in downtown Kiev, unmolested, we'll know that we've been Baghdad Bob'd. Until then, I'll assume that the Russians are having a tougher time than they'd imagined.

Have Putin’s homosexual cheerleaders decried this as actions of Adolf Hitler yet?

This is all nonsense. The 25% number for wheat production refers to exports. Russia and Ukraine represent only 0.9% of total worldwide wheat production,

This source says they produce about 14% of total wheat worldwide. 11% produced in Russia and 3% produced in Ukraine.

That make sense. They need to drive toward Crimea to stop resupply via the Kerch Strait Bridge which includes a railway.

I don't know why the Ukies never got cruise missiles to take out that bridge, or at least crater the decking. As it is, the Ruskies can just resupply the Southern Front from Russia over that bridge.

That might have been me. I listed categories similar to these.

Paid and unpaid Russian influence agents I called Russophiles which included people of Russian decent that backed Putin because of that heritage.

The ones who’d much rather hear Reagan say “Mr. Gorbachev! This wall is none of our business” I didn’t really call those ones Putin supporters though.

Thoroughly demoralized conservatives are the ones I wrote that were so bitter about Biden displacing Trump that they reflexively oppose anything Slow Joe is for. Even if Trump is for it. The “War is a racket crowd” is also in this group.

I believe .9% is the expected shortfall from the war, not the total annual production of Russia and Ukraine.

Dennis Praeger blames it on vaccine misinformation from the government and other fake news causing some people to disbelieve everything.

With much respect to Dennis Praeger, that's a very narrow view. It's NOT just the government propaganda about the "vaccines" .. the news media has been lying to this country FOR DECADES.

Real Science has been thoroughly corrupted and politicized by the left. Not just with the 'vaccines' ... when a nominee to the USSC cannot answer what a woman is, a question easily answered by any five year old, we know this country is going to hell in a hand basket.

Censorship and shutting down any speech that doesn't fully meet government approved "standards" by big tech certainly hasn't helped.

Deplatforming "unapproved" messages and those who say them, de-banking those individuals, making it as difficult as possible for them to make a living and feed their families - let's call that what it is: EVIL.

There is a supernatural battle going on, and it's been going on since Adam & Eve. Satan used to hide and disguise himself to deceive.

Let's be clear about this: we live in a time where Satan is no longer hiding. He's right out there in the open, doing his thing to sow discord & division because that's how he's turning people away from God. That's Satan's ultimate goal.

At the very center of the discord and division is FedGov, BigTech and the "news media."

I personally don't think I'm the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree, and I see it. It's so blatant! It's right there in front of all of us!! How do so many others not see it?

SMH ...

Current objective for Ukraine in the south is to take back the west bank of the Dnieper from Kherson to Novovorontsovka.

Ukraine has been a buffer state between Russia and NATO. Putin aims to take as much of it as possible, especially those parts most associated with the Old Russian Empire. The Dnieper is a traditional dividing line between the more Russian influenced East, or Left Bank, and the traditionally more Catholic and Polish West, or Right Bank. So Putin wants everything East of the Dnieper, and then the coast of the Black Sea to deny Ukraine a sea port. Retaking Kherson would mean the Ukies kicking the Ruskies out the Right Bank.

Are you so utterly helpless? A moron who has no choice to say that nothing can be known?

I can hear what Russia says. They say they haven’t even invaded and Ukrainians in Mariupol are setting up bombs their own houses just to make Russia look bad and it is all about some 200 Nazzis.

Then I see the overwhelming evidence. I see drone video showing how they have leveled that city. By their propaganda the city they were supposedly saving (It’s 80% “Russian speaking” by the way).

I can tell a difference. It’s not some footage from a videogame.

It doesn’t help that most reporting simply shows another burning tank, or another blown out building. It’s only if you’ve watched the map over the last several weeks do you see the reality on the ground. Since the initial incursion the Russians have failed to advance, and in some areas have begun to lose ground. Mariupol is the exception. And it is the key to Putin’s “honorable” exit. And for whatever reason they haven’t been able to get them help or resupply.

Ukraine has done very good work in beating Russia to a standstill, but it has cost them dearly.

“I corrected this once already but I will do it again:”

GPH will lie to you to preserve his favored policies of harming Americans.

Russian and Ukrainian wheat represent nearly a THIRD of all wheat exports worldwide. That loss will send prices worldwide soaring. And while wheat will be available in the US, all wheat products will surge in price.

This will be shortages to the poor.
