Sounds like the Ukrainian Offensive on Kherson tonight is Confirmed.
Ukrainian Forces are beginning a Large Scale Southern Offensive from the City of Mykolaiv and from the North involving Heavy Armor, Artillery and Air Assets towards the Russian Occupied City of Kherson and its Airport.

Whole lotta that going on with the Ukrainicorn supporters, posting about rainbows coming out their south ends.
I saw those videos you posted about, and as you said, it wasn't just one account.
Gonzalo Lira has reported that certain Greeks he talked to have affirmed the story - AFTER they got back to Greece and out of harm's way.
And what is your source?
“Maripol is the Azov HQ. ”
The entire city? All of it? Every inhabitant?

Many videos on twitter, from many different sources.

I’d question the “plenty of arms”. Large quantities of arms that can bleed the Russians (man-portable Anti-tank and low altitude Anti-aircraft missiles) have been promised, but there have been serious issues with logistics and bureaucratic delays. A couple of the Pubbie Senators were complaining about this vociferously after Zelenskyy’s address to Congress. Admittedly, you can’t just send over Javelins by FedEx, but, bureaucracies run on “process” and usually find it difficult to impossible to get out of their own way.
Then there are logistics issues that should have been worked out months ago, likely exacerbated by the Ukrainians themselves not believing Putin would massively invade.
I also note that the small arms that would be needed by “citizen soldiers”, per the last “package” that I saw from Administration sources, were in ridiculously small quantities, such as 5000 rifles, 400 shotguns, etc., IIRC. WTH? Just to arm the civilian-no-more defenders in Kiev, Ukraine probably needs 2 million rifles.
Another thing I’ve not seen, unless added in the last day or so, are modern SAM’s that can hit targets 10,000 - 30,000 ft. up.
The crazy thing is, Azov was down to a force of maybe 1000 B4 Pooty invaded, and mostly sort of restrained by the regular army. Now, I would not be surprised if they have 20x or 30x that. Not really “Nazis”. Just really P.O.’d people who’ve had their lives upended, homes destroyed, etc.
I can also guess there ARE reprisals against Pooty supporters. Mariupol had swung pretty decidedly “Nationalist” in the last few years, after being close to 50/50 if you don’t count the Greeks. If, say, some neighbor down the street has been telling the Russkis where the guys who armed me are quartering and then half my neighborhood gets blasted by an artillery barrage? Yeah, me and the rest of my neighbors who are left are gonna take care of it.
Since most of what is said and shown online and all of what is aid and shown on tv is propaganda, and this feels strongly like propaganda, I’m ignoring it until I see something reliable.
LOL. I knew you would be on this news. A Lt. Gen. This time. All part of Putin’s plan I suppose.
Putin is running the Stalinist genocide playbook. They’ll just depopulate Mariupol after stealing it. Then move in Russians from Russian dump holes. There are plenty of them and folks are happy to leave them.
Kherson airport. The gift that keeps on giving.
that brings up a deeper question.
are we sending arms in order for the Ukrainians to win—which will take time and cause incredible disruption around the world. Its already doing so. As well, it will further impoverish americans via inflation. as well for more impoverished countries like egypt that depend on ukranian wheat—high wheat prices will starve them and make them refugees—bound for places like europe and america.
or are we sending arms in order to strengthen ukranians so they can negotiate on better terms with the russians. terms which may include some land for peace —ie them giving up claim to say crimea or the donbas region.
Ukranians have shown that they are willing to have their country destroyed—if that’s what it takes to win.
its not so clear right now to either americans or russians that they are willing to have their countries destroyed in order for the ukranians to win.
for the last week or more—the US has urged the ukranians to come to the peace table to make a deal. The ukranians so far, are uninterested. they want to win.
Russia already has a declining population problem. Ukraine’s is now a decade’s worse and will get worse even with Russkis moving in. This will be a boil on Pooty’s butt that just keeps getting bigger.
I have seen some of the videos, like the ones showing people tied to poles with packing tape being hit by grandmas. Those are images of people caught engaging in crimes like looting. Ukraine isn't like some liberal city in America, old Russian ladies think nothing of hitting thieves with a switch.
It may be ugly but it has nothing to do with supposed Nazis.
But showing it as if it were the persecution of some group of people, not the punishment of criminals, is typical Russian propaganda.
And in case you didn't notice the people doing the hitting are speaking Russian.
Either you just can't accept the awful things that are happening, or you really are just posting Russian propaganda.
Who do you think lives in apartment buildings? They are what most of us who speak English call "residential areas".
Think more carefully. The only point of citing the DK article was to show that the anonymous twitter account cited by the original poster was a front for ANNA, a known Russia propaganda outfit. You can go the URLs listed by DK if you want to see for yourself. I didn't post the direct links to their websites since they are probably pretty risky to visit unless you are running a very hardened browser over a VPN.
Note that the basis of the post I was responding to was a set of links to a deleted anonymous twitter account. Since when are dead links even considered a source on Free Republic?
