There is only some sort of inverted logic with such persons.
I have wondered for years why girls who like girls make themselves look like boys. I had a neighbor a while back who was indistinguishable from a boy. My friend did not believe me that she was a she. Everything she did was boy including her having girlfriends. It is idiomatic.
