And might have been pushed beyond artillery range now. And if they did it sentiment might shift quickly.

Non-academic inquiry:
“Why hasn’t Moscow been attacked, one way or the other?”

They bomb your capital... Attack theirs...

And the world does.

It would also hand Putin an incident to show that Ukraine wanted to attack USSR...I mean Russia.

For what military reason? Why risk your warfighting assets on a target that is no threat to you? A much better use is to attack enemy forces attacking inside your country.

Hopefully the roads and rail lines leading into Ukraine (from Russia) are being hit by drone strikes. A truckload of blown up ammunition/food or dead conscripts would work wonders.

They fired dozens of ballistic missiles, most intercepted.
Most of their aircraft destroyed on the ground, the remaining largely get shot down on their first sortie.

Wrong question!!

They should start to attack Crimea and the other provinces (Dombass, ect,(sp))they are trying to take over. They need the same "moon look" for the New "Russian" states. There are numerous military targets in these adjacent areas.

There must be Russian military units on their own side of the border somewhere.

What military purpose would it serve? Why hand Russia some propaganda material?
If they could bomb a military HQ, that might work.

Chechen widows would bomb schools, subways, planes and other areas back in the day.

With what? Planes, artillery and drones just don't teleport from place to place.

You have to be able to GET TO the target without losing what you send after it. Just because Ukraine has a military does not mean that they have the ability to hit anything in Russia.

If Ukraine attacked targets within Russia, Ukraine loses the ability to portray the war as an entirely defensive war.

Because Ukraine is just defending itself, not launching an invasion of another country.

A truckload of blown up ammunition/food or dead conscripts would work wonders.

The Ukrainian armed forces have already destroyed hundreds of trucks and killed many conscripts. The number of Russian soldiers killed in in the thousands, maybe 10,000.

Most folks have no idea of what has went on in Ukraine in the past, and not so distant past. They just go along with the ever so reliable and honest TV news tells them.
