Russian air defenses.
because Russia does not care if you punish their civilians....See WWII
Non-academic inquiry:
“Why hasn’t Moscow been attacked, one way or the other?”
They bomb your capital... Attack theirs...
For what military reason? Why risk your warfighting assets on a target that is no threat to you? A much better use is to attack enemy forces attacking inside your country.
Hopefully the roads and rail lines leading into Ukraine (from Russia) are being hit by drone strikes. A truckload of blown up ammunition/food or dead conscripts would work wonders.
They fired dozens of ballistic missiles, most intercepted.
Most of their aircraft destroyed on the ground, the remaining largely get shot down on their first sortie.
They should start to attack Crimea and the other provinces (Dombass, ect,(sp))they are trying to take over. They need the same "moon look" for the New "Russian" states. There are numerous military targets in these adjacent areas.
What military purpose would it serve? Why hand Russia some propaganda material?
If they could bomb a military HQ, that might work.
Chechen widows would bomb schools, subways, planes and other areas back in the day.
You have to be able to GET TO the target without losing what you send after it. Just because Ukraine has a military does not mean that they have the ability to hit anything in Russia.
If Ukraine attacked targets within Russia, Ukraine loses the ability to portray the war as an entirely defensive war.
Because Ukraine is just defending itself, not launching an invasion of another country.
What a stupid question.
The Ukes crack military forces are surrounded and hemmed in at all the major cities of the east and they are about to be destroyed. Going on offense is about the last thing on their list. It’s hard to think about draining the swamp when the alligators are biting your butt. Second, they don’t have an air force or anyone to fly planes (even if they had them).
The Ukes are toast and the longer Zelensky the clown show continues to hold out the more at risk he puts his people.
He could end this tomorrow and should do that instead of hosting clown shows around the world on Zoom. The ball is in his court ‘cause the Ruskies have made their settlement plan known for years. It is no mystry.
If they could make a Doolittle Raid on Moscow they probably would.
I think a more pertinent obvious question would be why did they not stop the Russians before or upon entry to Ukraine?
Did they not know the Russians were amassing on the borders and getting ready to invade?
There are geopolitical players involved here layered like a giant secret onion that needs to be peeled back.
Knowing past history of the region, what makes anyone think all the arms sales to Ukraine are going to stay inside the Ukraine theater? Most likely many of those weapons systems will be diverted and sold to the anti Israel Arabs and Pali-pals.
Nobody in that region has ever had pure intentions. And I'm sure I will be flamed for this, but stenciling the words "Children Inside" at both ends of a giant building with very large truck egress at both ends is the same tactic Arabs use with hospitals. They run command and control right inside hospitals and schools. If I were Russians I would consider it to be something other than a children's shelter.
They'd show the video of Russian civilians killed by Ukrainians 24/7 on Russian TV.
They likely will. And it won’t be an ordinary bomb, it’ll be a nuke.
At that time, the Rukes will be very happy to step outside of their tanks and, without sabotage, walk home under the supervision of blue helmets and red cross.
Of course, the Ukes gave up their nukes. The Rukes left those Nukes behind. The U.S., the Rukes, and the Ukes signed that Budapest Agreement on Nukes. The Rukes violated it by invading twice, we abrogated it and are selling the Ukes down the river, the Ukes honored it by giving up their nukes. Who the hell are we going to be scolding the Ukes for Nuking the Rukes in an existential war when we did the same damned thing to the Japs? Especially when we betrayed the Ukes over Nukes...
Most military targets would not be feasible and/or have a significant outcome. Civilian targets are more feasible but would work against the current PR slant, and potentially provoke an emotional response from. Ukraine’s biggest strength right now is being weak. Use the dominate strategy to draw in international favors until you are no longer weak, or are defeated. Ukraine will stay on the defensive until a more favorable strategy presents itself.
If they could they would. But they would hit air bases, not civilians. They can’t do that either.
When it comes to military equipment and personnel, Ukraine is doing damage. When it comes to infrastructure, housing and civilian casualties, Ukraine is taking terrible damage, Russia none.
