Pretty certain that those Doctor’s Offices are requiring the useless masks because the Federal Government will shut off funding if they don’t. That is potentially a lot of cash.
Some Bureaucrat(s) simply love to micro manage our lives.
I’m sure it is too because I actually had one admit that they had to follow CDC guidelines. The sign on the door of my skin cancer doctor said they were required. I wore mine in but when I got to the exam room and the doctor and her assistant came in, she said “you can take that thing off while in here if you want to”. In other words, I wasn’t out in the public waiting room where everybody could see me without it.
It’s all a huge scam and even doctors here know it. I held off taking mine off in public when it first started because I wasn’t sure and was trying to figure it out. After seeing so many that were wearing masks get covid, I figured it out. I just take the normal flu season precautions (hand washing, keeping some distance, stay out of crowds, etc). That has always been my habit, especially during flu season with my asthma and all. Flu nearly killed me once.
My eye doctor confirmed that is exactly why they do it. But it’s even worse. He said if someone complains about patients not wearing masks, the bureauctats can come in, do an investigation, shut the clinic down, and the doctors can lose their licenses. The coercion and pressure are enormous.
