I can do zuchini and squash, bugs/slugs/birds eat all my tomatoes and peppers, im cursed
Try some plant netting over the tomatoes. We have to do that for the strawberries and cherry trees and blueberries. The raspberries not so much
The squirrels are what really go after my garden. Tree rats.
I don’t have anything close to a green thumb. We have the land but really poor soil and lots of critters to combat from deer to squirrels. We tried gardening for several years and not one handful of tomatoes and some cukes but smallish and not super plentiful, I guess we’ll go buy up a bunch of rice and beans.
I’m just the opposite. I’ve tried to grow zucchini for six years, and the bugs get them every time.
This is the last year I’m going to say “next year” about squash.
I have the same curse on my potatoes and cabbage.
I have never figured out why my raddishes are so hot?
Bugs. Spray plants with Dawn, if that don’t work make a tea using chewing tobacco and spray it on the plants.
Slugs and snails. Place a saucer level to the dirt and fill with beer.
Most animals don’t like the smell of mothballs.
Plant marigolds around your tomatoes to keep out nemotodes.
