Why is it that all Slavic people speak English without using definite articles?

Because they have no articles in their languages!

There are no definite articles in Slavic languages.

In some dialects, people refer to themselves in the third person, often using their name.

There are no concepts of articles in Russian language. The proper usage of them is the hardest job for an English-second-language speaker.
