Since Rush's passing I have found it very hard to find a substitute to listen to. Rush is irreplaceable but searching the Internet I have come across some people that I look forward to watching every time they post something. The most popular one I have found is Mark Dice. He has some really cutting humor much as Rush was capable of delivering on a daily basis. He has some great insights as well. The sleeper that I have found is Brittany Hughes on MRC-TV. She is brilliant. She is the mother of two and the wife of a soldier. She is a no-nonsense rock solid conservative who blows liberal's arguments out of the water. Both Mark and Brittany have segments that are usually less than 10 minutes long. Nothing like Rush's three hours but then again we can't replace Rush. These two young people are worth a look if you haven't seen them yet.
Talk radio has become rank and file warfare. New days, new circumstances, get guerrilla.
Ken Matthews WHP-580...occasionally subbed for Rush.
I really liked him and the guy in Seattle Todd Herman. I miss Rush every day and will till the day I die.......;(
Viva Frei is good all by himself, but when Barnes checks in with him it is as good or better analysis then we would have gotten from Rush. https://youtu.be/NKQPGCXaRyo
I’ve substituted Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast. Like Rush, it’s 3 hours a day—he’s not as funny as Rush for sure but I find Steve Bannon entertaining in a different way. . .
I have to agree.......I don’t even watch Fox anymore. I did watch Gutfeld and I really like him and Tuckers spot is not a good time for us and you’re so right about Hannity....he’s a broken record. I got tired of Laura having her liberal friends on there......I don’t trust her. Soooooo since Fox has gone over to the dark side (Gutfeld and Tucker should get contracts with other media, imho) I won’t watch it.
I still miss Paul Harvey-—even Rush didn’t quite catch up with Paul. Every body else is too bleeping slow. Back in the 60’s I used to gun my Harley across town just before noon to catch Paul’s nooner.
I remember Howie Carr. Great listen
My locals in Wisconsin, Dan O’Donnell and Vicki McKenna are both good to listen to.
You can find them on WIBA AM1310 on I Heart Radio.
Oops! iHeart Radio!
I always thought Matthews did a great job filling in for Rush, as did Herman, but my fav was Stein.
ISTR Rush released transcripts too
There’s only so many hours in the day. Does anyone know how voice to text works?
David Webb is awful good, takes callers and as connected as Rush was. Web kicks off the day for a lot of conservative pundits inside the beltway.
Andrew Wilkow take callers and pulls out of opposing viewpoints. He is in the art bell timeslot now on Potus...so unfortunate.
The Crowder Show is pure entertainment, but I am 50 and crowder is about that age so it might be jokes to looking at me.
Bongino is best on his 1 hour podcast that drops just before rush use to go on the air. No callers on that format, dan needs to learn to be a counter puncher.
Rush let the show breath, and was best working callers without the dittos. Levin attempts callers but his style gets in the way.
Julie Mason on POTUS always knows she is working for the Pravda and interviewing the goverments press reps. In some very few moments she will let it slip it is all BS.
Kennedy and Gutfeld clips to Laugh.
I agree. I think Bongino is the natural successor to Rush, although there’s just no replacing him.
In a funny way, the kooky drug taking liberal Joe Rogan could actually claim to be Rush’s successor. He’s the one who can boast a bigger audience than the mainstream media, he’s the one who can bring an issue into the minds of the common people just by mentioning it on his show, and he’s the biggest target of the left to be cancelled, but also is essentially uncancelable.
I miss Rush all the time but listen to Mike Gallagher and Mark Davis, as well as Alex Marlow and Matt Boyle of Breitbart.
I think Steven Crowder comes closest to Rush.
Closer ideologically and stylistically for sure. But I don’t think in terms of reach and impact.
