Need help with the Russia - Ukraine conflict

Posted on 03/02/2022 3:40:54 PM PST by A Cyrenian

If you know any news sources from Russia AND any from Ukraine could you please let me know.

I'm not going to waste my time with the worthless networks in the USA or the ap wire.

But I would like to see what the people who are experiencing this have to say.

If you know of any websites that can be useful please post them.

Thank you.

In fact, he's doing everything he can to minimize civilian casualties.

So keeping his army in Russia would have caused more civilian casualties?

You are shilling for Putin for some reason.

Shelling cities, bombing civilian targets, threatening cities with destruction unless they surrender and attacking urban areas of neighboring countries are all actions that are done based on the premise of killing and wounding civilians.

Look at the little girl in the linked photo and tell me you think doing that is a good idea. I'd post the image directly but it is probably too graphic for many FR readers.

Have a look and tell us what you think.

“Putin is taking out the global elites that have used Ukraine as a child-sex trafficking hub and money laundering hub for decades.”

Even if there are some "global elites" in Ukraine that are involved in the crimes you list how is attacking a nation and killing innocent civilians including children an appropriate response to what some persons may or may not have done?

By your crazy logic it would be OK to launch an invasion of Florida, killing thousands of people and destroying their homes because Epstein lived there.

Ask your farm friends in MO if they can get fertilizer and herbicides.

If they can get it they cant afford it with the fuel prices etc.

Russian is number one in the world in the production of fertilizers if you combine both ammonia based and urea based fertilizers.

This is the Russian recap of the operation so far. They are doing what the US military does when they brutally take over a country. We both blind that country’s military and take out air defense, command and control. That’s what all those heard explosions with no shown resulting damage have been. As with our maulings of inferior militaries, Shock and Awe comes next if the peace talks fail. Knowing what EVERYONE in the world has accepted as the level of Russian military capabilities until this week, who’s BSing who? Compare this with the ham handed, sometimes laughable, disinformation you see being reported everywhere in the West.

MILITARY OPERATION IN UKRAINE
2 MAR, 13:42
Russian armed forces destroyed more than 1,500 military targets in Ukraine — ministry

On February 24 Putin announced a special military operation in response to a request for help by the heads of the Donbass republics

MOSCOW, March 2. /TASS/. The Russian armed forces have destroyed more than 1,500 military targets in Ukraine since the start of the military operation, including shooting down 13 planes and 47 drones, Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov told reporters on Wednesday.

“The armed forces of the Russian Federation continue to strike at the military infrastructure of Ukraine,” he said. “In total, 1,533 targets were hit during the operation, including 54 command posts and communication centers of the armed forces of Ukraine, 39 S-300, Buk M-1 and Osa missile systems and 52 radar stations.”

Konashenkov said other destroyed targets included 47 planes that were hit on the ground, while another 13 planes and 47 drones were shot down in midair. Also destroyed were 484 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 63 multiple rocket launchers, 217 field artillery units and mortars and 336 units of special equipment.

On February 24 Putin announced a special military operation in response to a request for help by the heads of the Donbass republics. He stressed that Moscow had no plans of occupying Ukrainian territories, but aims to demilitarize and denazify the country. The Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian troops are not targeting Ukrainian cities, but are incapacitating Ukrainian military infrastructure, therefore there are no threats to the civilian population.

First I quoted that from another user. Violent indiscriminate war with civilian casualties is my own personal extreme pet peeve. Of course it is absolutely wrong. But what I quoted from “Extreme” is the absolute truth, whether it is wrong or not, that is indeed why Putin is doing this.

that is indeed why Putin is doing this.

That's unlikely. When Ukraine was run by a Russian puppet Putin had no problem with whatever illegal activity might have been happening. He could have easily stopped it then.

Even now if Putin cared about child sex trafficking or money laundering he would address those crimes in his country and the surrounding countries, not invade a neighboring country.

The Daily Mail does a pretty good job for an English language publication. Here is current coverage

Most direct videos and twitter posts are in Ukrainian, and hard to interpret unless you are familiar with the language.

Here’s Tass. When you read Tass and compare it to the laughable disinformation in the West, it will be confirmed, the world has indeed been turned on its head.

That’s Russian media.

And download Telegram to get feeds from people in Russia. Use Google translation if you can’t read Cyrillic

There’s a lot of archived file footage being sneaked in as current. But if you want to believe CNN and Fox Snooze its OK with me. In a month or two from now you won’t even be thinking about the Ukraine because CNN will have you all worked up about China invading Taiwan.

“When Ukraine was run by a Russian puppet Putin had no problem with whatever illegal activity might have been happening.”

Was it happening before or after the puppet was removed?

Was the child trafficking and money laundering by Ukrainian elites ever happening or is that just some Q nonsense?

"The Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian troops are not targeting Ukrainian cities, but are incapacitating Ukrainian military infrastructure, therefore there are no threats to the civilian population."

That's an utter lie, so it gives you a good idea about the accuracy of the rest of the statement from the Russians.
