Seems to me that most people prefer libertarianism for themselves and authoritarianism for “those other a-holes”.
(That guy just cut me off, where’s a cop when you need one?).

Most rural people tend towards libertarianism (except in cases of property line or water right disputes).

Most urban people tend toward authoritarianism to get that guy to turn down his boom-box, pick up his litter, show a little consideration, etc.

No, it’s this one. It is some sort of winged dragon or sea serpent with these giant lizards lining the stairs. It seems insignificant, but when the sun was setting behind it, it became a silhouette of the wings. I have a photo of one of the groomsmen, who climbed up on the beast’s head and was standing on top of it with his arms outstretched and the sun setting behind him and it just felt off to me at the time. Now I understand why.

Another thing to consider, and one of my top priorities is quality of life. I would hate to have refrained from living my life to the fullest in order to have a bit more money at 80 years old when it’s likely I won’t be able to do a ton of things at that age. I would consider it a major failure to have a couple million in the bank at 80 or 90 years old (when I’m physically unable to do a lot of things) because I passed on opportunities at an age when I was able. Even worse would be to work until 70 and die at 80. My goal in life is not to leave a large inheritance.

I found several streams, all of fixed cameras in Kiev and a few other cities. All showed nothing untoward, just a quiet evening with no signs of violence or war.

I've been watching those cams for several days. They are live but you can scroll backwards thru time. have yet to see any smoke or emergency vehicles running around.

Instead, I see light traffic and even people with their children strolling around or playing.

If it hasn’t already been said, he and his wife are practicing Catholics and Polish, but she is an immigrant, I think. They admire Poland wholeheartedly on faith and fight, and want its security at probably almost any cost.

As for Pompeo, he wants to be president, and has navigated Trump by appreciating the muscular tone of DJT, but no bluntly personal support on the relationship. Not sure if he even wants DECERTIFICATION, or another Trump term.

I am woefully and hopelessly behind on this thread.
I just wanted to thank everyone for their info on SS and Medicare. It’s awfully complicated isn’t it?

I stayed home with the kids for 22 years and only have about 18 years of contributions, so my SS won’t be much.

The plandemic cost me the job I thought I would stay in until retirement. I hope to work again but in the meantime some things in our lives have changed and I’m not sure when or if returning to work will happen.

My husband has been collecting for a few years now. He waited and gets the max. We decided I would begin collecting now because of his deteriorating health. He is 10 years older than me. He wants us to both collect while he is still living so that we don’t have to touch savings/retirement accounts except in emergencies.
