March the 3rd. Kinda messy.
>>Springtime for Dinosaurs<<
...and Germany!
springtime in what hemisphere?
The hit song is ‘Springtime in Cretaceous’.
I always read it was 65 million years ago and it was the KT boundary where the iridium is found. Now it is 66 million and the K-PG boundary.
Wiki: “Cretaceous–Paleogene (K–Pg) boundary, formerly known as the Cretaceous–Tertiary (K-T) boundary”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicxulub_crater
The diameter of the crater changes to as much as 125 miles across. The rock that hit was 6.2 or as much as 7.5 miles in size. A mere pebble to the earth but traveled at around 27,000mph. The speed also has been changed over time.
Researchers are guesstimating but in the end a large rock hit the earth and wiped out all the big dinosaurs and hit at an angle in the wrong spot to throw up sulfuric acid droplets that rained down along with the massive waves and fires.
Leaving the birds and crocodiles and eventually us.
Here is one article to look over.
