That’s something I’ve found of interest over the years. While this treatment applies to the US - there have been others that have extended it to Europe and other parts of the world as a societal/generational norm that includes an overarching upward trend underlying the cycle.
It makes a lot of sense when you consider technological advances overplayed with increased knowledge and cycles of revolution/growth/excess, etc

“-—Trump will be back before the midterms-—” While I understand your explanation I expect Trump would be aware of the 2-year succession rule. He’s in good health so I’d like to see him shoot for 6 more years. That means he shouldn’t come back until after the end of this year. Then he’d be finishing bidumb’s term rather than taking his real place as the 2020 winner.
And I’ve been saying that I believe Bidumb won’t make it past this year. He has to be looking down the tunnel and seeing the impeachment train coming, lights on, full speed. Besides that, I believe he’s going blind-—gave up his aviators, eyes going black, just too much failing going on.
2-3 feet of SLEET??? What part of the country, may I ask? That is severe. At least snow is pretty and fluffy. SLEET...I remember from long ago. And 30-40 mph north wind. I hope you have good heat source. We have all the wood we can possibly burn but house is made funny and some parts don’t have much insulation (or none, don’t ask why).

It is interesting. Steve Bannon’s 2010 movie “Generation Zero” is based on the Strauss–Howe generational theory. Bannon has said he is a strong proponent of the theory.
The country can’t last much longer… and families will find it harder and harder to reconcile the longer this continues.
