2-3 feet of SLEET??? What part of the country, may I ask? That is severe. At least snow is pretty and fluffy. SLEET...I remember from long ago. And 30-40 mph north wind. I hope you have good heat source. We have all the wood we can possibly burn but house is made funny and some parts don’t have much insulation (or none, don’t ask why).

We have friends living in the hills overlooking Reno. I installed a fancy 25x Optical Zoom PTZ security camera on their house on the condition that I could tap into their million dollar view.

Here’s a snapshot from today from it, zoomed North, NorthEast, into the Reno Airport. The Nugget Casino can be seen behind the airport on the left... (And the snow on our hills...)

It’s in Oklahoma. Mostly, the wind blew the sleet off the roofs & out of the gutters on those roofs, where it then got blown up against walls, fences, etc. and accumulated. Wind has been from the pits of Hell for a couple of days now. Ready for it to stop!

I very much want to have an old-fashioned wood-burning stove installed this spring or summer. Not so much for myself, as for the parrot. Yes, I am a sap. Would never guess it to look at me. Heh. :-)
