Glenn ripped up his hero card as a senator. He was an incorrigibly disgusting partisan, defending evil.

I always wondered if the brain damage after his bathroom accident affected things.

I pissed Glenn off once. I was at NASA in Houston and asked him “how could you bump someone from their seat who has been training for years so you can take a joy ride?”. He didn’t like that question much.......

Glenn sold his soul to the devil for a ride on the Space Shuttle.

Exactly! Once he did that dastardly deed every good thing before is wiped away. He sold his soul for that ride and turned his back on our Country and our Constitution.

If a person sells himself out for personal, political or financial gain then nothing they did before gives them credibility. Like they told us in the military; One Awe-sh!t wipes out even a hundred Attaboys.

Sixty years after the Wright brothers got off the ground, Americans were putting together a trip to the moon.

Absolute POS. McCain with a little more slickness. Both Keating Five alumni as well.

First space trip was as a monkey substitute; second was as a piece of luggage.

So different from the other Marine F-86 ace John F Bolt, a true hero in every way.

Went on to be a worthless Democrat Senator who voted to acquit Slick Willy and was rewarded with a flight on the space shuttle.

Yeah, that's when I came to despise the worthless prick.

Nah, he did that when he became a RAT.

I met and was around Glenn. Several times. He went from hero to asshole IMO. He was a jerk. Never meet your hero.

I got the distinct impression while reading “The Right Stuff” many years ago that Tom Wolfe was also less than impressed with Glenn’s personality.

He wanted to run as a Republican initially, but the Demonrats offered him a better deal. He sold his soul twice.
