Today started at 12 degrees and sunny in SE Iowa. Still good windchill blowing. I did get out and start up the old Troybilt Tiller to charge battery. Just waiting on the soil to dry out and get warm. My Bare root Blueberry plants arrived. Saw a great quote, “Danger is real but Fear is a choice.”

I’ve got three ‘Patriot’ Blueberry bushes coming my way soon, too.

I may use them as landscape shrubs, as they get pretty big, and have nice fall color, too.

Soil was Jello a couple of days ago here in MO. Getting more snow this week and once that melts, Jello again.

Clayey loam.

Nice when the right moisture level. Too wet = Jello. Too dry and it shrinks, cracks and gets hard as a brick. I have little pottery projects sitting around here that my kids made years ago. Just top soil squished into a shape but it retains that shape still.
