For northern climates, it may be worth looking into earth-sheltered or partially-underground greenhouses. The ground helps keep the temperature steady enough that you can grow all winter, without burning things in the summer, and without fancy temperature-control systems.
Our mutual friend Anne (on the another forum) has one of those! If and when Mr. Wonderful gets around to building his Dream Pole Barn, we’re going to put one on one end or the other of the building.
Remember how I offered you fence posts? He says he has just enough on hand to fix fencing around here. Sorry! I thought he had a lot more in his stash, because he’s such a squirrel, LOL!
I guess keeping our land fenced IS pretty important in the long run. Again, sorry!
Have you tried the Habitat Store? Wonder if they carry them for cheap? They seem to be one of those things that unless you REALLY need them, nobody needs them.
