My husband’s radio antenna is on a Rohn (sp?) tower and does great but no way he’d let me put a TV antenna on it. It’s one of those that has a metal base plate anchored in four feet of concrete, cranks down, and will lay down in the yard to work on. I hate that thing.

Maybe approach it differently. Offer to lease antenna space for your antenna. I’m sure you can think up a fun rate. And if you got some use from it too, you might not hate it any more, a benefit to DH.
That TV antenna will not interfere with the ham stuff at all and wouldn’t have to be way up at the top. Sounds like a fun project. Good luck.

That’s a really nice antenna tower he has. I can see him not wanting a TV antenna there - it could interfere with the radio. Antenna science is a thing, and it’s kind of complex.
Anyway, the fact that it can be laid down to work on is really cool. If I ever get a real antenna tower, I want one like that. Of course, that implies that I’m actually going to start talking on this radio.
