Community “charity” fundraising company GoFundMe demonstrated they’re woke and fascist at the same time by canceling the Freedom Convoy campaign and promising to send the $9+ million raised to “approved charities.” Now, they’re scrambling to fix the PR nightmare that ensued by moving to refund all donations.
The company had hoped that by dropping the news late on a Friday that they’d avoid some of the backlash. But it was quickly seized by conservatives across social media as an example of the totalitarian nature of the left. We didn’t let them oppose freedom without voicing our opinions and pushing to make them feel the pain.
But maybe it wasn’t just the backlash that got them to change their minds. As Christian competitor GiveSendGo noted on their social accounts, disputing the charges does more pain to the company than simply requesting a refund:

GFM has chosen sides with the Marxists. Never, ever again.
Whether they go down or not, GFM is about to become fully (and painfully) aware of what is common knowledge backed by decades of data: It’s conservatives and people on the Right who are far more generous with donating and with their donations then are those on the Left who truly believe charity should be the government’s responsibiity.
However, when they announced that they were going to give the funds to charities not designated by the donors, they effectively stood on a box, put a noose around their necks, then kicked the box away.
My opinion, is that EVERY red state Attorney General has sufficient cause now to take this to a grand jury and charge these people with intent to conspire to commit financial fraud.
Freeper BookmanTheJanitor raises a very important question that should be asked in investigations going forward: "I’d like to see if they have stolen previous donations."
Why hasn’t Merrick Garland and his JustUs department ARRESTED them and SEIZED thier assets already??
Shouldn’t that be the Question of the week?
My thoughts exactly
It's because they play on the same team. It would be like suggesting that the center tackle his own quarterback.
Absolutely correct.
GoFundMe decided to refund the donations instead.
What they tried to do was open and shut interstate wire fraud and a RICO violation. I and probably thousands of other lawyers pointed that out yesterday. Every donation they stole, and every donation they gave that wasn’t to the intended donee, would have been a separate predicate RICO act. This would have created an incredible motive to go after GoFundMe’s corporate owners too. The whole lefty social media establishment might have been liable too, for civil conspiracy.
This was THE most bone-headed move I’ve ever seen. It certainly ranks right up there as the biggest Darwin Award wanna-be nomination in history.
If they didn't before I bet the lawyers are screaming at them NOW!
Per an article currently on the Fox News website he is. he has directed FL AG Ashley Moody initiate a fraud investigation.
GFM knew it “screwed the pooch” and reversed course. This last second play shouldn’t save it from destruction.
Mega bump to the top!
Wow — they successfully got everyone to focus on the refunds. Sure that was a CF but I have not forgot about the key issue.
They should never have cancelled the gofundme in the first place. I hope there is litigation on that front.
Yeah “GoFraudMe”.... your name is now officially MUD!... FOREVER!
You earned it!
Any of the people I follow on youtube who go to Rumble or BitChute, I will follow there.
I dream of the day when I can deplatform youtube and never have to go there again, so thanks for that info on Millie.
GFM sold out to the politicians, no more money from me..,,..
