Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) Looking for Info <Vanity>
Vanity | 2/3/22 | Vanity Question

I have a 41 yo niece who had a sudden onset of FND 2 weeks ago. She still can't talk, only can walk with assistance (meaning she literally has to be held up - like a baby learning to walk), not sure what else. She petite, was in an ATV accident when she was 16 & damaged her head, yet not brain damage. She, her hubby, parents & friends have never heard nor had experience with it. Does anyone here have experience with this?

I also recommend looking into a Lyme test from Igenex.com

I’ve known many people who were fine for a while, and all of a sudden became paralyzed or some other severe neurological issue. Usually happened at times of stress (severe illness like a bad flu, divorce, new baby, etc.). In these cases, the immune system was diverted to the new stressor and could not keep the resident bacteria at bay.

~300,000 new infections each year, and only ~30,000 being treated (and of those, probably only 10% treated properly).

I recommend she get an Igenex lyme test. A Lyme Literate Medical Doctor (LLMD) in her area would know and order one for her.

I’ve known plenty of people who couldn’t walk or were paralyzed to some extent that regained full function after antibiotic treatment.

Just a thought...

She started having seizures on a get-a-way weekend with her hubby. I am cautiously bringing this information to my sister (also her Aunt), but she’s had the vax, we haven’t, and it has created an awkwardness amongst the family. Vax vs unvaccinated. My niece looks to my sister as a mom, so I’m guessing my niece is vaxed. I’d be completely aggressive in getting to the bottom of the issue. They are more casual sad to say. I so appreciate the information & I’ll pass this great information on!!
