The exploding heads over this one should be most entertaining.

AR building is a terrible addiction. Somebody give me a Hell Yeah.
To: SaxxonWoods
Did the same. In my living room. With my son (at 16). In North Carolinas.
Totally normal.

My father first taught me how to use firearms when I was six. I was negligent and did not teach my kids until my oldest was nine. In all fairness, I didn’t have anywhere for them to shoot until my oldest was nine.

“little son Donny”?
12 years old?
Something is wrong with this story.
Grandson, maybe?

When I was 12 my Mom bought me a .45 caliber muzzleloader kit from a hardware store for Christmas. I spent the next several months fitting the barrel and lock to the stock then browning the barrel and finishing the stock. I went on to use that rifle to take many deer over the years during Mississippi's primitive weapons deer season. That muzzleloader is now retired and hangs over the doorway to my man-cave, just below my Caribou shoulder mount.
I had the best Mom ever.

I don’t see an issue. By the time I was 12 years old my Dad had bought me a 410 shotgun and a 22 Long Rifle. When I was 13 I was the proud owner of an 8mm Mauser so I had two years to learn how to fire it safely and effectively so I could deer hunt at the age of 14.
