Almost identical. I think the KelTec came first because I remember thinking “I would’ve bought the Ruger instead.”. I could be wrong...been years.
You’re right, now that I think about it. The KelTec came first and then Ruger sort of took the design and refined it.
The P-11 is double action only and after 1000 rounds all 10 of his fingers are so tired he can barely finish the test.
I love mine tho. It's the perfect tool for the job on the cheap.
There are definitely much nicer weapons out there but they cost more than double and at those prices I would be forced to have more concern for my investment.
I like KelTec...wish I had some more of their models. I really wanted the PMR-30, but I’m not sure if they ever got the issues worked out.
I've been thinking about a .22 handgun for a few years now with ammo prices the way they've been I could actually afford to shoot one at the range.
The japs built thousands of sub compacts, although, in the end, they turned out to be ineffective and a waste of money...
Bought my Kel-Tec P-11 a year after they came out. Had some FTFs at first, then polished the feedramp, haven’t had a problem since (OK changed the recoil spring once), That’s almost 30 years and thousands of rounds (all types) of reliability.
I didn’t mean to come off neg on Keltec. I have previously owned a couple Keltec pistols ( forgot model) and was told about the potential jamming issue from the dealer when they were purchased.
I like Keltec’ s innovative long gun products. I have kept a sub 2000 in my pickup door (fits perfect) for over 8 years now.

Be careful. Another Freeper was telling me that they bought one and it was a jamomatic. Confirmed what I’d been reading. But it’s been out for several years now. Surely they’ve ironed out the issues. The PMR-30 is 22 Magnum...with a 30 round magazine!
Reminds me of my experience. I had a Glock 26 - Glock is cheap plastic junk.
(The point being? Every gun owner has an opinion, and any time you hear "Every [fill-in-the-blank] is [fill-in-the-blank]!", you can safely ignore that opinion... ;>)
