The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!
I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.
A challenging cryptogram
from The Arkansas Gazette
7 minutes good
5 minutes excellent
4 minutes exceptional
120 seconds superior
Try to keep out of the way.
Took me longer than it should have. The key was getting FW and FWEZ.

HAL'S CRYPTOGRAM HELPER
If you want on or off the daily cryptogram ping list reply to this post and state your intention: ON or OFF.
I'm rather pleased with myself this morning because I solved the puzzle unaided. Lately, I'd become reliant on HAL which makes solutions a lot easier but today, nothing; not even a pencil. Just stare and decipher like I used to. It raises the challenge to a different level.
You should be pleased! I use Hal.
this was a tough one
Welcome!
Please check your private mail.
Started with the last name which I thought from the pattern was what it turns out it only partially is. The correct name was the second try. The rest was easy.
Just wow.
You Nailed It!
A bit less than 2 minutes.
Lucky guess at 1st word after a couple tries.
That gives word 5 and next-to-last word, which are the same.
Grammar gives last word.
Then 2nd word.
That and grammar gives 7th word...which makes word 6 spring up at you.
Mopping up.
...I stand in AWE.
This was a tough one to crack. Once you figure where “t” was in opened.
Good job!!!
Perfect clue, but I still had more IFLLFVDNEFKB with this one than ususal.
Thank you for posting
