Not to get too “detailed”, but not everyone is able to breastfeed, and not every baby can latch on effectively due to cleft palate or tongue-tie. Formula is still needed.

There are old recipes for formula out there that would work as a last resort. I think my mom made ours with evaporated milk and Karo syrup! Yum,Healthy!!
