Nope. Pretty much the only untouchable holidays are Christmas, New Year, Thanksgiving, Labor Day and Independence Day. And honestly for a good chunk of retail and fast food it’s not even that many. Everything else is optional.

I think they cancelled Lincoln’s Birthday (February 12) to make room for MLK Day. Then they changed Washington’s Birthday (February 22) to President’s Day so as to include Lincoln and the racist Lyndon Baines Johnson.
Not sure where that one sits on the list. Most places I’ve worked have it off. But I think that’s because it’s the end of the death march. Basically the first holiday of the year, coming at the end of May. I don’t think it’s on the untouchable list. But maybe it is. It’s the start of summer vacation season, like Labor Day is the end, and Labor Day is untouchable.
I call it Indignant Peoples Day,
It’s on Father’s Day this year.

Indigenous is a meaningless term as used today.
It provides a midwinter long weekend. I call it “Spring Break for Working People”. Presidents Day is a bastardizing of Washington and Lincoln’s birthdays; bashing the two into one. What else is new?!
Except most working people don’t get it off. This year will be the 3rd time in my life I’ve had it off as a holiday.
We used to celebrate the birthdays of two of our presidents in February, Lincoln on Feb. 12 and Washington on Feb. 22. Now these two holidays have been conflated as the single holiday "Presidents' Day" and the ignorant populace has been coached to believe that it is a day to celebrate not Washington and Lincoln, but ALL presidents. I think I read somewhere that BO thought it was celebrating HIMSELF.
The argument about consolidation of the Washington and Lincoln federal holidays was to introduce the January MLK Birthday holiday, "and we don't need another federal holiday." But now Juneteenth is a new federal holiday, so much for that argument.
I miss having the original separate holidays for Washington and Lincoln. It's another way of erasing our history.
