HOUSTON – A mother has been charged after her 13-year-old son was found in the trunk of her car at a Cy-Fair ISD drive-thru COVID testing site, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office confirmed.
Sarah Beam has been charged with endangering a child. Cy-Fair ISD Police Department said a warrant has been issued for her arrest.
According to court documents, on Jan. 3, Beam pulled into the drive-thru testing site located at 11355 Falcon Road in northwest Harris County, when a witness reported hearing something in the trunk. The witness said when Beam unlatched the trunk, the boy was found lying down inside.
Court documents said the witnesses told Beam she would not receive a COVID test until the child was removed from the trunk and placed in the back seat of the vehicle. The witness then called police.
Beam allegedly told authorities her son had tested positive for COVID-19 and she was taking him to the site for additional testing. In order to protect herself from being exposed, Beam decided to put the boy in the trunk of the car.

Lol! I was thinking the witness could have given the Mother a chance to correct the situation first, before calling the Cops. The article doesn’t say she resisted getting the boy out of her trunk once it was noticed, or that she argued about it.
When I wasn't much older than 13, I had a buddy with a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere with an absolutely cavernous trunk (and no spare tire). We lived in a one-horse town and to entertain ourselves one Saturday night, we put six kids in the car and another six in the trunk and went driving around. No, I'm not kidding.
Every time the driver pulled up to a stoplight, he'd put the car in park and everybody in the car would jump out and run back to the trunk and open it. The six who had been in the trunk would get out and run around to get into the cab. And the six who had been in the cab would crowd into the trunk.
The objective was to complete the exchange before the light turned green. Then whoever was under the wheel would drive to the next traffic light and the whole operation would start again.
We called it "the Polish Fire Drill" (no offense intended to any Poles among us, ... unless they're demoncrats).

She probably recently got a booster shot and her son should still be protected by his vaccination.
I sound like a broken record, but I’ll keep on saying it. People without hope (God) always have two big fears: The future and death. Those two fears will direct any and all decisions they make today. Have you wondered why so many people immediately wanted lockdowns, masks, social distancing and vax mandates? They’re hopeless, and will do ANYTHING to feel secure from their two big fears.
If she’s doing this to her own kid, I wonder what she’s doing to other parents’ kuds...
She’d probably call the cops if she saw a kid without a seatbelt on though,, I would bet money on it.
Is the mother vacksinated? If so, is that not an admission that it doesn’t work?
