That was the opening question to two very different focus groups of voters convened by Times Opinion this week. The wide-open question was intended to see what was top of mind for the two separate groups — nine Democrats and eight Republicans from across the country — who weren’t told the discussions would focus on the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol and the state of democracy in America. In the eighties, maybe early 90s I remember Saget doing a routine in a pale blue suit. Talking about his young “girlfriend’, “and she’s this tall”, levelling his hand at his groin. I don’t remember the whole joke, just the punchline, the blue suit, the implication that it was a ‘girl’ doing “x” and that he was a total pig.
I looked for the clip but think it’s scrubbed.
