No date but just middle ages?
I wonder what Bryngjerd’s life was like.
Wait!??!
Is this implying that the Norse made it all the way to Olso?
Wait!??! again!
Is this imply Norse could read and write?
Ok, ok.
As an apology for my fail at attempted humor...
Do not know if the following are accurate, but they’re fun to watch.

And when deciphered it read: “Be sure to drink your Ovaltine!”
I understand that it was decoded as: “Let us go, Chieftain Brandon.”

Finding Latin beliefs in Norway is not surprising. There was a trading network across the heart of Russia in the first millennium. Viking artifacts were found a hundred miles east of Moscow on the headwaters of the Volga River. The Volga of course runs south to the Caspian Sea.
But on the way to the Caspian there is only a small less than 10 mile land hop at Kirova from the Volga to the Don River which runs to the Sea of Azov which connects to the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. So trade to the latin influences was actually connected shorter across Russia, they did not have to go all the way around.

Interesting story, but my first look at it that caused me to click to read it was I thought it said “Nordic Rune found in Ohio.”
