Only the eye with the floaters counts.
I’ve had floaters off and on over the years, but they’ve always been very minor and easy to ignore — just a tiny dot or two. Then several weeks ago I got a huge kinky hair of a floater that was impossible to ignore. I would swat at what I thought were gnats flying in frint of my face. Then I saw a video by Dr. Eric Berg that recommended liquid MSM eyedrops. So
i ordered a bottle and begin using two drops in each eye, twice daily. Within about 48 hours that giant floater had shrunk — or rather dissolved — to about 90% of its original size. I rarely notice it anymore. I’ll continue using the drops to prevent further floaters. Also, you can buy proteolytic enzymes in capsule form at a reasonable price. These enzymes can also be used to dissolve painful internal surgical adhesions. It’s really much more practical than gorging on pineapple, and you get a blend of enzymes.
Only one eye was used from each of those persons.
Me as well! I have been taking Quercetin which is bromelain and the floaters have pretty much stopped.
When I vacationed in Hawaii forty years ago, I had fresh pineapple for breakfast every day.
Bump.
Since almost the beginning of the COVID situation, I’ve been taking a daily quercetin supplement that also has bromelain in it. I’ve had a Weiss ring floater for several years and still do, but my vision seems remarkably free of smaller floaters, so maybe the bromelain helped with that.
Ficin seems to be a stickler to find.

Great info to know! Thanks for posting it!
I have floaters in BOTH eyes...
Thank you for posting this. I have terrible floaters and related conditions.
Bromelain, Papain
Tenderizer mix in steaks they sell from the back of a pickup truck.
I started taking bromelain about 6 weeks ago after reading a study that reported the stuff improved (disimproved?) floaters over time.
It estimated 2-3 months, so can’t say yet if it works. Side effect for me is, ahem, loose stools. I’ll tolerate that in exchange for the floaters disolving!
My ophthalmologist said that they inject a “bead” of anti-inflammatory med into the eye during cataract surgery. Makes for a black floater in each eye for me. He said it would dissolve over about 6 weeks.
