Say buh-bye to Facebook and delete your account for good (how-to guide)

People's opinions about Facebook are a mixed bag. For some, the social media site is an essential tool for keeping in touch with friends and family around the globe, interacting with common-interest groups and getting news. But others see Facebook in terms of privacy violations, political brawling, damaging misinformation and other content that could be harmful to teens. Now known as Meta, Facebook, as a company, has a new name but the same old problems. Whether you want to cancel your account for a clean slate in 2022 or any other reason, we'll tell you below what steps to follow.

It's important to note that there's a difference between deleting your Facebook account and deactivating it. Deactivating your Facebook account temporarily freezes it, which is useful if you want a brief hiatus. But that does nothing to prevent the company from tracking your online activity.

1. Delete the Facebook app from your phone and tablet

2. Choose a messaging or social media alternative

3. Disconnect your Facebook account from other apps and logins

4. Finally, it's time to delete your Facebook account

5. You have 30 days to change your mind about Facebook

The common belief is Facebook is like that Hotel California, in that you can check in, but you can never really leave.
Maybe that’s just an “Old-Spouse’s Tale”...//

I use Facebook to keep in touch with family and friends. Don’t get into politics on it.

No!!!!
Don’t quit. Dedicate yourself to making their life as miserable as they want to make yours.
Report every add.
Report every democommie.
Try to get thrown into Fakebook jail.
Wear your banishment with pride!!!

As we said when I was in the Navy..
Don’t get pissed, re-en-list.

I quit Facebook in November 2020 and I do not miss it at all. Nor do I miss the people who really weren’t my friends.

I did that 4 years ago, and I don’t miss it at all.

Most of the people on Facebook hated you and wanted you to die.

You made a good decision getting out of it.

Your account is never really deleted regardless of what they tell you.

You cannot delete a Facebook account! You can disable it, but not delete.

Everyone knows the internet is forever, but there is a way to save your FB photos and then permanently delete your account. I did it early last year.

I searched for myself using Facebook AND my name but nothing came up. So AFAIK the info I posted in the past is not available for viewing using FB. I have not asked my family what happens when they click on a picture of me from when I subscribed. Hopefully, nothing.

THANK YOU! THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING! I'm sick of retreating. The conservative alternatives are just echo chambers. It's much more fun to roll around the the mud, in situations where it's important to push back. Plus, I prefer that my business network knows exactly where I stand. This filters out proggies who would otherwise hit me up for business or work.

Thanks.

But I do want to stay as long as they don’t banish my No-mask/anti-COVIDiot groups.

They are vital for networking against this nonsense.

Indeed! Just what I argued on my thread the other day. Was put in NextDoor jail (worse because everyone is your “neighbor” and knows your name for sure).

Stopped Facebooking almost two years ago. Won’t go back until Bubba makes the rat faced pixy haired weasel who runs the place squeal like a pig.

Easy to do. I got 30 days last year for posting an illustration on how to make a noose, not that one shown at the Amazon warehouse.
BAM! Instant 30 days.
Showed that the nazis ran a man as a woman in 1936 olympics and how to find German police photos of him nude.
BAM! Instant 30 days.

Posted a synopsis on why I had been given several 30 day suspensions last year.
BAM! Another 30 days.

Said a few choice words about BIDEN’S tranny.
BAM! 30 days again!

1/3 of last year in FB jail!

In one instant I was out of FB jail for about 20 minutes when back in again!
I wear it as a badge of honor and also post on GAB. Lots of sleazes over there, but they are easy to block.
