poor girl. I wonder where her parents were.
The sun is shining through our sliding glass door. That should help.

If we could somehow combine the Democrat’s aggressiveness with the Republican’s rightness on the issues, we might actually accomplish something.
But Democrats are aggressively wrong and Republicans are wimpishly right. The whole thing is endlessly maddening.
There are 212 Republicans in the House. We hear about the same 2 or 3 standing up to the Democrats. What the hell are the rest of them doing all day?

NARAL has pulled its support for Sen. Kyrsten Sinema over her opposition to changing filibuster rules:
“There’s no reproductive freedom without the freedom to vote. With both freedoms at stake, we’re changing our endorsement criteria.”
My 1st thoughts were, where the heck are her parents?
Think of the impact all this insanity, and it is insanity, is having on all of our children.
A generation is being ruined!
March for Life in DC today.
Ray Epps testifies, supposedly under oath, in front of the Jan 6th Stalinist Committee today.
And Joe Biden is still the worst President America has ever had, today. Franklin Pierce laughs at Pudding Head.
My mistake - she wasn't handcuffed,. I thought it looked like it at first.
Yes, no parents, nobody around her, no resistance from anybody.
Their biggest fear is having the “Race Card” played against them. Next is the Misogynist Card. Then the anti-environment card. (Codicil of that card is AGW Skeptic.) Coming in at a very distant fourth is the anti-LBGT Card.
Almost no GOP\Conservative candidate knows how to verbally handle those challenges from the press or opposition (but I repeat myself!). All think a ‘weasel words’ answer works best!
For those continually trapped in the "conservative v. liberal" prism (prison), which message is this? Is it a message of the left or the right?
At some point, political realities will force the recognition that these staid boxes from the 1990s are archaic and dead. https://t.co/W8Ivo8D4Lp— Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald) January 21, 2022

Why should we care more about the Ukraine border than our own border?
Exactly!!!
The WH is STILL having to do damage control after Bye-done’s disastrous presser.
They all are claiming that it is CRYSTAL CLEAR what the Posser in Chief meant.
Yes, as CRYSTAL CLEAR as MUD.
NPR Publishes Hit Piece On Advocates Seeking Due Process For J6 Detainees
The article centers on the charity’s founder, Cynthia Hughes, who launched the group to support Jan. 6 defendants held for months on end.
National Propaganda Radio (otherwise known as the state-funded media outfit NPR) ran a hit-piece Thursday on a charity collecting donations for political prisoners held under the Biden regime over charges related to Jan. 6.
“Experts see ‘red flags’ at nonprofit raising big money for Capitol riot defendants,” NPR Investigations headlined, smearing the Patriot Freedom Project (PFP) as a shadow charity whose board is run by supervisors plagued with financial headaches of their own.
The article centers on the charity’s founder, Cynthia Hughes, who launched the group to support Jan. 6 defendants held now more than a year in reportedly inhumane conditions, and their coping families. Hughes’ own “adoptive nephew” is among those in jail.
“Over the last decade, NPR found, Hughes has filed multiple lawsuits, in which she represented herself, and publicly disclosed serious personal financial problems,” NPR wrote, outlining two lawsuits filed in 2013 and 2018 where Hughes sued credit agencies for thousands to change her rating. “Hughes stated in court documents that she struggled with late payments, poor credit scores, and the ripple effects of filing for bankruptcy in the 2000s. In each case, the parties either settled the claims, or the cases were dismissed outright.”
NPR invoked the testimony of “experts” to cite Hughes’ financial history as problematic while the group aims to raise eight-figure sums to fund the costly legal challenges of those held in detention and denied due process. The government outlet then used the testimony of disgruntled family members of other J6 defendants disenfranchised by the charity to smear the transparency of the project.
“Family members of some alleged Capitol rioters have questioned what the group’s criteria are for sending donations and begun pushing for more transparency,” NPR wrote. “‘A few of us have asked for transparency and got NO WHERE,’ said one family member.”
Behind-the-scenes politics related to those anonymously critical of the group failed to make it into the piece. Joseph McBride, a New York-based attorney representing several Jan. 6 defendants, told The Federalist he warned NPR of the bad-faith critics in advance.
“I spoke to the reporter beforehand and I let them know there was a family member who was hostile to what Cynthia was trying to do and cautioned him from publishing anything based on the person’s claims,” McBride said. “This family member is disgruntled and was denied a leadership role at PFP because of her inability to deal with people in a civilized manner.”
While branded as an organization blindly coming to rioters’ defense, the Patriot Freedom Project only offers assistance to those denied due process and meaningful representation.
“Patriot Freedom Project exists to fight for political prisoners. The ones that are being attacked by our own government and being denied due process and living in hellacious conditions in the D.C. jail,” a charity spokesperson told the outlet.

Smear Campaign of Attacks Against Brandon Straka Right Before His Sentencing Hearing
Brandon Straka, the founder of the #WalkAway movement, is being sentenced this week for his participation in the January 6 protest at the US Capitol.
A smear campaign has begun against Straka concerning his January 6 case. Outlets are reporting a court document that reveals Straka provided information to prosecutors in exchange for a lighter sentencing recommendation. Some folks are insinuating that he’s a snitch. I have to ask, where is the evidence for any of that?
First off, the sentencing recommendation is for anything but a “light” sentence. For a first-time offender of a non-violent class b misdemeanor, the government is asking for a sentencing that is considered excessive.
FBI arrested Straka on January 25, 2021. The #WalkAway founder never entered the Capitol and was among the crowds outside on Capitol grounds for a total of 10 minutes. He never conspired with anyone before, during, or after the January 6 protest to riot. He was there to give his support for the America First movement and then President Donald Trump.
It’s one thing for leftists to attack conservatives inside the America First movement because that’s always expected. It’s how the game is played.
It is wholly another thing when media types who claim to be in the conservative movement attack one of their own based on speculation and innuendo and use leftist sources to boot. That’s what’s going on against Straka and it’s not right.
For example, there are some sites, including conservative blog sites, that are accusing Straka of being a snitch based on a Politico article about the #WalkAway founder providing information to the government that could impact his sentencing recommendation.
“It’s an indication that Straka, one of the few Jan. 6 defendants who is also of interest to congressional investigators, has cooperated with prosecutors in a substantive way,” according to the outlet.
It’s an indication is one of those things many writers say to allow themselves to carry on with speculation about a story.
If you’re going to use Politico to trash fellow conservatives, why not just go straight to White House mouthpiece Jen Psaki?
All the speculators are throwing out theories that Straka must have done something to betray conservatives in order to get a “lenient” sentencing recommendation. Again, it’s not a lenient sentencing recommendation for the facts of the case. It’s excessive.
