Hand sanitizer is poison. Would you eat it? Ask yourself that because if it goes on you, it goes in you.
Absolutely; skin is very absorbent. Plus it gets in the air, everyone is breathing this stuff 24/7. Isopropyl alcohol absorbs right through the skin. Very bad stuff. A friend used straight iso for hand sanitizer years ago for some job she had and got sick from it.
Another ‘substance’ that gives me a bad rash surprisingly was Furosemide or Lasix. Years ago certain detergents caused me rashes, but I learned to stick with traditional soaps with no incidents. The Dermatologist looked at me for10 seconds and knew at once that it was medications causing my issues and not soaps or skin allergies.
Took me off of the Lasix and I cleared up rather quickly. Problem then became the pedal edema. I had a lot of trouble walking and putting on pants, socks, and shoes was simply nightmarish. I had problems getting inside of cars. It was worse than arthritis in certain ways. This is in reality why I had to retire prematurely. I never imagined that this would happen to me.
I am aware of how ointments and creams can get into the metabolism and wreak havoc.
It is tough chasing the tail in order to balance things out.
Hard core alcoholics drink it when they can’t get a bottle.
They don’t mind the vomiting it causes...at least they get a buzz from it.
