I’ve been remembering the article about the Army National Guard recruiting trainees for civilian detention duty. IIRC the training was to take 10 weeks, the ad came out around September. I have the article and the NG page on a usb someplace.
The recruits have finished their training now.
I haven’t heard anything about it this year. Since I don’t get out too much I’m not terribly concerned.
Last year’s standard dose missed the mark here but it wasn’t a problem since everybody had Covid instead of the flu. /s 🙄 Personally, I think there was more flu here last year than Covid, but it was all called Covid.

This GITMO situation is another instance of something happening behind the scenes that we don’t have the full scope of.
At its peak, there were over 700 detainees at GITMO. Currently there are 39.
Why are they adding an additional courthouse (Among other things) with a declining prisoner population?
What are they anticipating?

It is interesting that the section pictured from Trump’s EO doesn’t necessarily state terrorists, but just states “the US may transport additional detainees to U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay When lawful and necessary to protect the Nation.”

Well, I’m the last one to give family advice, but love and respect a daughter-in-law and allow her to be herself. Honor the household rules she sets. Never ask your son to choose between you and her... no matter who he chooses, you will be the loser. Embrace her family and tell her when you like what she’s doing. And pray for her.
Do all that and your son will love you even more for it.
I’ve never had a flu shot. It’s been 9 years since I’ve had the flu. Everyone I know who gets the flu shot annually gets the flu. I’ve never understood it. The same people who thought I was whacked for telling them they were getting the flu because they got the shot really think I’m ‘round the bend now as I won’t vax up, won’t mask up, haven’t gotten the Rona, cured my wife and several friends with Ivermectin (cattle and swine version), they are getting multiple boosters and are always kinda sick. I’m fine being crazy.
Whenever someone offers me hand sanitizer, I say I don’t do the sanitizing thing, haven’t washed my hands for two years, touch my face constantly, so my immune system is kicking 🤣

The going remark when the vaxxed get the WuFlu after 2 shots and the booster is "it could have been much worse if they hadn't been jabbed".
How would they know that, they can't experience being sick with and without the jab? That situation is mutually exclusive.
