Tonight we'll watch "The Bishop's Wife" on TCM, which I've recorded.
Tomorrow we'll eat brunch at the dining hall. Later I'll crack open some champagne, bake some crusty French bread and open up some smoked salmon for a snack. We'll probably listen to my period instrument "Messiah" (Hogwood, 1982) and catch a WWII documentary on Netflix.
It could be worse.
God bless you.
I have never heard that version of the Messiah. Sounds sublime!
That’s so CRUEL to do to her!
Makes me want to throttle her daughter!
GRRRRRR!!!
I am so glad you are with her tonight, Publius!
God bless!
I wish we could all be with you, dear Publius to share in the sweet festivities you have planned, for your dear friend.
The Bishop’s Wife is one of my faves. The original, or the remake? I love them, both.
The skating scene, in the original, is my fave scene.
Please offer your dear housemate a cheer, from hubby and me, from all the way over here, in TX. We lift our glass to both of you....for a very blessed Christmas.
Tomorrow sounds like another divine day, that you have on tap.
We should all be so lucky to have such a dear friend, as you.
Our family sends you both our best.
