All I want for Christmas is…
Covid?
Our twenty-something son came home for the holidays with the sniffles and we had him take a home Covid test, which came up positive. He’s going to the health department today for a formal test, but it does appear that we have an uninvited guest in the house.
My wife, 16-year-old son, and myself are not vaccinated. We are going to keep our distance and take some basic precautions. We will also be consulting our MD for advice and get ourselves tested after a suitable incubation period. We are taking zinc, vitamin D, and aspirin.
We can’t ask our son to leave. He just went through a bad breakup with a long term girlfriend. Things are also a bit complicated due to his dog being here with him and she’s mixing it up with our dogs.
Again, we’ll be seeking some real medical advice, but I’m curious:
What would any of you do in this situation?

Forget the suggestions for ivermecin, HCL, vitamins, etc., none of which have been proved to help with covid. Get the vaccine.
Nyquil and sleep. Drink a lot of water.
TY.
Benedryl and Lactoferrin.
Test if symptomatic. Take monoclonals if contract.
Zinc vit d and melatonin now.
What would any of you do in this situation?

We are in the same situation. My daughter came home from college and infected all of us.
My husband is the only one that seems to have some lingering symptoms. The rest of us seem to be over it, but it took about a week. It was not fun, but I’ve had much worst sicknesses.
If we’re infected, the ship has sailed already on the vaccine…
If you are old, you’re in trouble?
If you’re of any age and you don’t take a zinc ionophore like quercetin, zinc and a mix of vitamins as a preventative, then you’re an ignorant nitwit who deserves to be killed by Fraudci and his gang of idiots with medical degrees.
And get a source for ivermectin if you really do have symptoms one day. It works
And of course your son needs to isolate
We can run multiple tests on one sample. We were testing everyone for flu and COVID last winter. After flue season was over we were just testing for COVID but had an outbreak of RSV this summer so started testing for that and as of Nov have been testing for all 3.
Only a couple of flu cases so far. We had decreasing COVID until this week.
It is a bit frustrating that our machines can pick up the s gene dropout but are not programmed to report it. We have 22 doses of the effective monoclonal but no way to know who needs it in time to give it.
Why would you go into a room with strangers and ask for medical advice?
I never understood that.
Don’t Forget hot showers with hot water on your face.
And some nice hot chicken soup.
Read up on natural antibiotics. I once cured a six-month cough with three days of sauerkraut and minced garlic
Perhaps some of these strangers on the internet have already been through it.
My entire family got it…. Before shots were available….
Soooo the version we got was the most virulent….
Only my wife got sick ( like the flu) the rest of us had varying degrees of symptoms but was over them in just a few days….
Unless you have co-morbidities in the folks in your house, don’t worry….y’all will be fine!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Thanks for the info on your testing status including the RSV tests. I’m a volunteer participant in the Phase 3 trial of the RSV vaccine candidate that Janssen is developing. It will be good to see a working vaccine for that disease finally.
Sure glad we punished China and Fauci for foisted this cr@p on the planet. /s
Add vitamin C as well. Heavy on the C and D, regular does of Zinc. You will be stronger, get it and be done. Blessings!
Our son became very ill with COVID and we had been eating off the same plate for buffet style meals like chicken wings and stuff. He got notification from work and then tested positive. He lost his taste almost entirely and had dark semicircles under his eyes. Within 2 days of the positive test, we had him do monoclonal therapy. He was back to work in a week.
None of us are vaccinated for personal reasons.
In Jan 2020 we were sick with something we thought was COVID. Horrible back pain for four days then back to work.
After, we started an antiviral supplement regiment and have kept it up for two years.
We flew 8 times since then, travelled, partied and hit every happy hour possible.
Despite a week or so of being directly exposed, we did not become ill.
First I attribute this to being blessed.
I hope I helped it with the supplements which both my wife and I, as ethnically diverse as it gets, have been taking daily.
Finally, despite testing negative many times over the past six months because I had to test, I may have had the bug early last year. It could be natural immunity. Don’t know, because it’s not showing up on antigen tests. PCR are garbage so don’t bother.
I HIGHLY recommend starting the research to prepare for monoclonal therapy for him and then y’all if necessary.
FYI: I woke up feeling a bit under the weather yesterday and was convinced that my drippy nose and cough was Covid and that I had exposed our house guests for the weekend. I took a home test and was negative. Sometimes a cold is just a cold.
