We have seen this movie before.

This is the Democrat Plan, which mirrors Adolph Hitler's Model from 1933. The only steps missing, which will come, is:

1. Steal various elections in several key provinces.
2. Create a false flag event at the Capitol by state law enforcement, with incitement and coordination with anarchist groups.
3. Meet any discussion (by your opponents) of steps 1) and 2) with claims of sedition and insurrection.
4. Jail, arrest, oppress, or kill scapegoated individuals.

Step 5) is coming:

5. Jail, arrest, oppress, or kill all opposition leaders. Eliminate all of the rights of your citizenry.

In detail:

1. 2020 had various plots in action to steal the election from a variety of elected officials, using Vote By Mail. Voting By Mail destroys the chain of custody of a ballot and was eliminated by many European countries in the 1970's.
2. The Democrats seized upon the call from Donald Trump to protest the stolen election, by showing up at the nations capitol. He insisted the protest must be peaceful.
3. Agents of the government made sure, by coordination with AntiFa, that protesters were allowed into the House chamber, and those that were in AntiFa created some minor mayhem. The Democrats exaggerated the level of mayhem to make it look more serious than it was.
4. Agents of the government identified anyone who participated and jailed them in the DC jail under severe conditions, also denying bail.
5. A 'January 6th' commission is calling any actions by Donald Trump and his associates 'Insurrection', and the compliant press calls any discussion of Step 1) 'Seditious talk'.

And here comes Step 5, with the suppression of free speech on Social Media, and the attempt to outlaw firearms. There will likely be charges against Trump and his associates, and there will be more oppression of the citizenry.

We have seen this movie before.

The only Silver Lining I see in this is that Hitler was out of power in 15 years.

I am 77 years old, when I was 67 I did not yet understand as well as I do today just how hard people will fight against their own interest, they will struggle mightily to avoid seeing what is obvious to those who are willing to take off their blinders. They will imagine themselves to have knowledge which they could not possibly possess while shouting fool at those who point to the storm clouds and the flashes of lightning on the horizon as evidence of an approaching storm. This tendency was once symbolized by the image of an ostrich burying his head in the sand.

If I try at all to wake up such people I usually begin by telling them to stop thinking that government is in business to fix their problems because it actually exists to CREATE problems.

Step 0) Create a sense of personal fear and/or loathing of a group of people, and attach urgency, so as to justify the next steps.

Fake 'hate crimes' are part of the action... Fake death threats....and endless name calling...yes the deplorables are not being treated well.

Years and years ago I was able to slow down gifs with Adobe Photoshop by lengthening the time between each image change. It was easy but I no longer have photoshop for this OS, which is Win7.

I never thought that I would have need of photoshop ever again.

The movie doesn’t get any better in sequels.

The question of course is what to do about it? I’m not a fan of using the political system to address what are really cultural issues. Ultimately, the reason why California or NYC or Chicago are the way they are is because the bulk of the people living there want it that way. Our political system is efficient in the sense that the governance is generally reflective of the culture of those governed. Part of the genius of the founders was that there was an allowance for states to chart their own paths and one of the mistakes we’ve made since WWII especially has been treating the country as one homogeneous culture. It isn’t and never will be.

If we want to change the trajectory you need to change the culture. And here’s the thing; we aren’t going to be able to do so in the very blue areas. Again, things are the way they are because the people there want it that way. If we believe in self-determination, we have to acknowledge that it’s their decision to make.

So where does that leave us? With a culture in the deep-blue areas that is clearly headed to a very dark place, and a culture in the rest of the country that while in better shape, could use some help. The obvious solution of “Having Seen This Movie Before” is to get our own people out of harms way. And that’s where we should be spending our efforts.

With all respect to those conservatives living in the deep blue areas, it’s time to leave. It will also be far easier for you to move now than it will be to flee later. If you do stick around you WILL find yourself being the enemy, the counter-revolutionary, and the hated Kulak.

The conservative areas of the country need you. There is a better life awaiting.
