UPenn transgender swimmer sparks outrage by shattering women’s records
Lia Thomas, a 22-year old transgender swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania, has been shattering women’s records at the school.
Before her transition, she competed for three years at Penn as a man, named Will Thomas.
At a meet including Princeton and Cornell on Nov. 20, Thomas had a 1:43:47 time in the 200-meter freestyle and 4:35:06 in the 500-meter freestyle. These times were records for Penn and would have placed Thomas second and third, respectively, in the NCAA Women’s Championships, according to the website OutKick.
It is unknown when Thomas transitioned from male to female, but the swimmer competed as a man as recently as November 2019. NCAA rules mandate at least one year of testosterone suppression treatment to be eligible to compete as a woman.

Where is the wonder woman of swimming? The black widow of basketball? The Tomb Raider of tennis?
Wait, are women in real life, NOT like the cultural feminist propaganda we’re fed in every show and movie spewed out at us today? They aren’t physically superior over the strongest men as they are shown to us today?

I feel the same way. The whole identity politics thing was weaponized by feminists, and they have enjoyed their spot at top of the victim totem pole for decades now. It is good to watch them kick and squirm while they get knocked down a few notches. I just wish transgenders would leave kids alone.

That is very true. If the women just stayed in their locker room and let the man race by himself, this nonsense would end overnight.
I've spoken to women about this and the reason they don't stand up is that they are afraid of being ostracized and labeled bigots and such. So they would rather be cowed and allow the men to enter and dominate their sports.
As for the men entering these contests as "women", they ought to be ashamed of themselves. There should be no sense of achievement whatsoever in a man winning a women's event.

You and I believe in gender and we believe in chromosomes. But the thing about leftists is they have no ultimate "truth." Feminism (at least modern American style) is a leftist ideology. Ultimately, as history has shown, leftists will ALWAYS come into conflict with each other, and eat their own.
It should be noted that Will Thomas was not a underperforming swimmer on the UPenn Men’s Swim Team. In fact he was most likely their best freestyle swimmer. In 2018-19 he was listed as 2nd Team All-Ivy League. The bottom line is that his abilities as a male swimmer put him at the top among female swimmers in the Ivy-League, probably among female swimmers in the USA, and quite possibly the World.
For the people who believe that everything should be sacrificed in the pursuit of ‘equity’ the question should be what is the purpose of womens sports? Are you prepared to sacrifice womens sports just to let a few trans-women to participate?
I don’t know if it was here or somewhere else, but someone said the women need to refuse to compete anytime a trans athlete wants to compete.
Won’t even take that many. In an Olympic year a few dozen widely distributed trans-women could destroy womens athletics.
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, it doesn't go away.

This is the logical extension of the 19th Amendment and feminism.
Since women are equal, why should any man stand up for it?
For that matter, why should any woman stand up against abortion or for men's rights in child custody cases? Because it's the right thing to do, regardless of how you feel about the opposite sex.
You can be replaced by men who are even better at being women than you are!
I'm bringing plenty of popcorn to watch a man try to give birth better than a woman does.
The right thing to do is not allowing women to hold public office or the right to vote.
Oh, that doesn't matter. They're just called "non-menstruating females" or "birthing person" now. That could mean your grandmother, your 10 year old daughter, or it could mean Decathalon Champion Bruce Jenner.
