FREEPERS are the best people - I am so grateful for all the prayers-the response was so plentiful-I am humbled and grateful.
Hubby’s condition is related to one of those abdominal mesh things - it can cause trouble. Fortunately, the IV fluids, NG tube and no food or liquids to rest the digestive system allowed the blockage to clear.
So he was discharged with no need for surgery at this point. He does have to take it easy - no lifting anything heavier than 10 lbs for 2 weeks and follow up with a surgeon later to discuss - mostly to make sure that we have a reliable one lined up in case it is needed down the road.
The best surgeon to do it was out of town, and the one on call in that office said it would be better for the expert to do it.
He has already had 4 abdominal surgeries - and at his age both the Dr. and Me and Hubby all agree that we don’t want it if it can be avoided - to take out that mesh would be a long and hard surgery and really long recovery period as the incision would be quite large.
Thank you all for your prayers. I am certain it made all the difference in helping him through and resolution without surgery.
Thanks for giving us the update.
Glad to hear he is doing better, tell him to keep improving for us. :)
Praise God!!! Wonderful news, greeneyes. So glad to hear. Thank you for letting us know.
Thank you for the update.
God is Good.
Sorry you’re going through this. Funny how the evil people seem to escape from some of this, it seems. They just hide it.
Very good news! Praying again for his continued health.
Very good news! Thanks for the update. Prayer does help and binds us all together towards a common goal. Continued prayers for you and your husband.
So happy for you, green eyes. I will keep him in my prayers that he never has to go thru that kind of surgery again. I can only imagine how tough that would be on both of you. Hoping this makes a merry Christmas for you both!
Your hubby is living proof that God DOES still work miracles. Very glad to hear your good news!
I hope he doesn’t mind being called “Mr. Greeneyes” by some of us, though. Heh.

Glad to hear your husband is back home, and doing well.
I had 4 abdominal surgeries over a period of 5 years. One of them was to repair an incisional hernia, and they put mesh in me too. That was in 2012. The surgeon told me then, that it is likely that I would develop smaller hernias around the edges of the mesh. I do have one below the mesh, but it is a pretty good sized one. I saw another surgeon a few years ago about it. He told me that unless it starts bothering me, or I experience symptoms of a blockage, I shouldn't need surgery for it. So far, so good. At 74, I don't want to have to go under the knife again.
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy and Healthy New Year. Blessings to you all.
Greeneyes; Glad for your husband’s close escape and also for escaping the storms! Hope you can get back home for a quiet Christmas and winter!
Such good news, greeneyes! Thank you for the update.
The power of prayer is a wonderous thing to behold, it really is.
So happy and relieved to hear this, greeneyes.

Good article and graphs @ link below:
In April 2012, economist Robert Wenzel was invited to speak at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. On the occasion, he told the central bankers that “vast amounts of money printing are now required to keep your manipulated economy afloat. It will ultimately result in huge price inflation, or, if you stop printing, another massive economic crash will occur. There is no other way out.”
The money supply tsunami
Mr. Wenzel was right and after an attempted quantitative ‘tightening,’ and a 20% market crash in Q4 2018, the Fed capitulated and resumed money printing. That program has sharply accelerated.
M2 money supply [3] is perhaps the most important early indicator of price inflation. In 2020, the Fed added almost $3.5 trillion to the aggregate. The transition is more striking still, in percentage terms:
Price inflation inertia
The relationship between money supply and price inflation is not linear; price inflation tends to move with some inertia. The 1970s inflation was preceded by the “Great Prosperity” of the 1960s: monetary expansion began in October ‘62 and continued through 1969. While money supply increased by 38% during that time, prices rose only 11% from April ‘62 to September ‘69. This inertia of price inflation convinced the era’s “New Economists” that inflation was a thing of the past. But inflation did emerge, only with a delay.

Great news! Thanks for the update.
The husband of a relative has had his health completely destroyed by mesh. He has been living in a rehab center for almost a year. I’m not a fan of the use of mesh.
You and your husband will continue to be in my prayers.
