They had acquaintances in common. They were at the same parties etc. When Trump found out Epstein was making moves on the 16yo daughter of a Mar-a-lago employee he black balled Epstein. This is OLD news. After the black balling Epstein was indicted & convicted. Stories about the island were a hot topic. I expect POTUS had connections who gave him the skinny.
Trump took one lift home from Fla to NYC with Epstein when they were acquaintances. He is on no other flight records w/Epstein. That is also old news.

What I heard was that Trump was annoyed because Epstein was hitting on the teenage daughter of a member of his club. But I think the real falling out between Trump and Epstein was due to some real estate transactions (basically Epstein bought some real estate that Trump wanted.)
In 2002 Trump said this to NY Mag.
