western civilization was using wood, steam engines and water power until mid 1800's, with oil driving the second industrial revolution starting in 1870. But western civilization moved the dial in less than 40 years? Not buying it.

It’s quite likely the earth has been on a continually warming trend for practically forever. It’s obvious, because of the number of pristinely preserved species that have been found within the ice, that the polar ice caps may have been flash frozen some time in the past, possibly as a way to cause the worldwide flood to recede so Noah could leave the Ark.

findings were worrisome because the early warming suggests there might be a flaw in the models scientists use to predict how the climate will change...

They want our wealth. They can’t get it unless they lie.

Global warming is the big lie.

Lol. Seriously. Who believes this made up science whose single purpose is wealth redistribution to other nations who want to kill us. Any real observational scientist knows, you can’t take today’s rate of change and extrapolate it over more than a few decades. Every volcano, & catastrophe like Mt Saint helens, tsunamis… precludes this as science and reveals its true nature.

IIRC, the 1911-12 winter was that bit warm and that’s how the large icebergs were calved off in the Arctic and one of them was the one that the Titanic collided with.

Coal was being used well before the 1800s all over the world.

The idea of getting rid of a commodity which has provided food and shelter for millions for hundreds of years is basic stupidity.

I'm writing a book "My Cow Farts and the Grass Beneath Her Feet Turns Green".

It's called recycling.

"the findings were worrisome because the early warming suggests there might be a flaw in the models scientists use to predict how the climate will change."

There MIGHT be a flaw? No, there IS a flaw. This study is proof that the climate models can't even describe the known past, much less accurately predict the future. Yet all the rest of the hand wringing in this article are totally based on these fake models, not on any other data.

This warming occurred before any appreciable amount of CO2 was burned into the atmosphere, and shortly after the "Little Ice Age" started to end. The Little Ice Age Was when Heidi ice skated on the canals of Amsterdam and Ice fairs were held in London on the Thames River. These haven't frozen over for a couple of centuries, certainly not hard enough to safely inhabit. The so-called Climate Models also fail to describe this, too. This all proves the climate models are Fake Science.

Just cut to the chase, how much are our taxes going up and how much more will us peasants be inconvenienced?

Funny that CNN would be reporting this. Not long ago, while the Maoists were screaming (among other things) "the Antarctic ice shelf is melting" NASA announced the discovery of at least one *active* volcano under the ice shelf. Although I'm not sure I think they said that there was more than one.

Of course details like these won't get in the way of the Maoists' attempt to bring Western civilization back to the 1700s.

The benchmark for global warming in the Artic should be when the Northwest Passage becomes navigable without ships having to follow ice breakers.

Until that opens it is all just scaremongering.

The Arctic Ocean began warming decades earlier than previously thought, new research shows

I grew up on the terminal moraine the melting glaciers left behind off the coast of what is now Connecticut.

So, as far as I learned in eighth grade, the warming started about 12,000 years ago.

Has something changed?

Canada, the northern US, Great Britain, the English Channel and North Sea were under TWO MILES of ice around 26k years ago.

So we've been warming up for a while.

That's called using the science.

You mean the Arctic Oceans started warming up after the last ice age?

Geologically speaking...the last ice age was “yesterday.”

People getting worked up over the earths cycles do not understand what has happened before—and what will happen again.

Humans, geologically speaking, are a recent phenomenon.

"The Arctic Ocean has been warming up for much longer than we previously thought," Muschitiello told CNN. "And this is something that's a bit unsettling for many reasons, especially because the climate models that we use to cast projections of future climate change do not really simulate these type of changes."

Perhaps it has something to do with coming out of the last ice age, where it continues to get warm. Things like glaciers melting happen when not in an ice age. Things like ocean temperatures rising happen when not in an ice age. Maybe it has something to do with the big orange ball in the sky.

These quack scientists don't have a clue, but they are arrogant enough to mislead people with 'concrete facts' which nothing more guesses and suppositions. They rely on models for a inherently complex system and they do not even know the variables involved in the system nor the values of those variables.

Don't get me wrong, I am proponent modeling. I used models all the time as a software engineer. However, people need to recognize the limitation of models. All models are an abstraction of reality. (They are not real.) It wouldn't be a model if it was a 100% representation of an actual system, it would be a clone of the actually system if it were. Because of abstraction, models are always deficient. They lack detail. They are exceedingly deficient when you have no idea what to model and have imperfect data. That is the state of climatology.

Of course CNN can roll out Polar Bears, those cute cuddly animals that infantile minds do not see as a danger, to tweak the emotions of those that do not think critically.

Please God, please let it warm. Give us another growing season to feed the starving. Reduce our heating bills in winter and extend the time we can enjoy the outdoors. My interruption of climate change is optimistic, but then I don't need to use propaganda to obtain climate justice and global Marxism.
