From another thread:

"To: Ymani Cricket

A local cat, whom we think may have been abandoned by a previous tenant, has adopted us. To date she has gifted me with two mice, a rat, a bird and a lizard. I keep asking her to bring back a deer, but she doesn’t seem interested in deer.

That’s good stuff.

Mrs. Augie blasted a nice fat doe yesterday afternoon.

Between us, our next door neighbor, his buddies, and his grandson, Mrs. Augie’s doe makes 6 of the giant rats removed from the local herd since Saturday.

I’m pretty sure the other neighbor to my north has taken a couple or three too, but I haven’t had a chance to talk with him since the season opened.

LOL!

My two, Boyd & Eva, (named from the series ‘Justified’) are both pretty good mousers and leave proof on the porch more mornings than not.

Now that Winter has reared her ugly head, they hunt less...unless you count them ‘hunting’ for a warm lap (human or canine) or the spot closest to the fireplace! :)

Night temperatures have been very cold, between 40 degrees and 33 degrees. Up in the mountains it has been below freezing. Need to plant my daffy bulbs. I’ve pulled up most of the summer plants. However, there is one coleus still going strong and I will keep it until the plant dies back. Other than that, not much happening. Just waiting for spring to return so I can start planting again. lol Happy Thanksgiving to all in the group!
