I recall the first report that I heard on a CNN clip - where they were talking about the “source” being very credible according to Intelligence Community. But they didn’t go into specifics, and made it sound like it was real collusion.
Shortly thereafter the whole thing was on buzzfeed. It was so incredible, it was obvious that it was a hoax. In a way, buzz feed helped expose that CNN was making a mountain out of an ant hill.
