The doctor who is denying care to unvaccinated patients

She is a reminder that the paranoia about COVID is grossly disproportionate to the risks associated with COVID.

When the Black Death arrived in Avignon, France, a courageous doctor named Guy de Chauliac stayed to care for the sick even as many of his fellow physicians fled the city. He wrote that the plague “was so contagious...that one man caught it from another not just when living nearby but simply by looking at him.... Father would not visit son, nor son, father; charity was dead, and hope prostrate.” The death rate for bubonic plague rose to 50%. The mortality rate for pneumonic plague was 100% and death occurred within the first 24 hours of infection. Dr. de Chauliac didn’t have much to work with in the Middle Ages, but he didn’t run away from the desperately ill patients who needed his help, even as the bodies piled up in the street.

COVID, our modern-day “plague,” wouldn’t even have been noticed in the days of the Black Death. It has a survival rate of between 97% and 99%. Although it can kill persons already afflicted with poor health, for the vast majority it is barely the sniffles.

No self-respecting practitioner of medicine could possibly justify denying care to patients who are not vaccinated against the sniffles. Yet Dr. Linda Marraccini of Miami, Florida, is doing just that—and she was still holding fast to that decision only five weeks ago.

Dr. Marraccini has announced that she will no longer treat patients in person if they are not vaccinated against COVID. Dr. Marraccini claims that she is taking this step because she feels that people who are not vaccinated harm other people.

It’s true that she has patients who are immunocompromised and patients who are undergoing chemotherapy.

This isn’t unique to just this doctor. There are doctors all across the nation doing the same. My SIL’s OB refuses to see her in person because she’s not vaccinated. They’re trying to conceive, and every bone in her body says the vax is going to cripple that; but the OB insists. I told her to find another OB. This is getting obscene.

A doctor who requires vaccination is either a dummy or an asshole. Avoid.

If you own a store or a gas station in their neighborhood, refuse them service.

The way I see it, there are thousands of people, including doctors and pharmacists, who are complicit in the murders of thousands of people. They think it’s cute now to be thugs and tyrants, but they’re not thinking far enough into the future. There’ll be a new attitude at the Final Judgment.

That’s OK.

Who needs “care” from a Pfizer peddling doctor anyway?

There are millions of doctors.

Every hospital following the CDC guidance is denying care.

The guidance didn’t even allow monoclonal antibodies when O2 was below 95%.

There’ll be a new attitude at the Final Judgment.

Well, before that there will be the Nuremberg II trials.

find another doctor then - no different than the doctors I know who refuse to see people that 1) refuse to stop smoking, 2) refuse to stop drinking heavily,3) refuse to stop using illegal drugs and/or 4) refuse to try to lose weight when they are morbidly obese. Its not a doctors job to watch you die and take responsibility for your health along the way.

If you reject the advice a doctor is giving you, then find another doctor to treat you - pretty simple.

Doctors have no legal obligation to provide primary care to people who refuse to follow their advice. If you tell the doctor they are wrong and you know better, don’t be surprised if they don’t want you as a patient.

There are in fact a certain percentage of doctors who don’t believe in the vaccine - or who don’t care what a particular patients vaccine status is - perhaps thats where people who want to hear that should go.

Why would someone want to be seen by a doctor if they think the doctor is wrong in the advice they are giving anyway?

>>There are millions of doctors.

Exactly, and they are not all on board with the mandates - but why would someone insist on seeing a particular doctor who they have a fundamental disagreement with the advice/recommendations they make.

If you think you know better than a particular doctor, then you should probably find a doctor that you think knows better than you.

Really no different than the LGBTQ campaigners that seek out religious old lady bakers and demand they make them a wedding cake for their gay ‘marriage’.

And any Pfizer pushing “doctor” willing to risk patients lives, both adults and now children, should be avoided at all costs. If an adult wants it, that’s fine, but it should always be a choice. How is that fine “doctor” going to feel when children start dropping like flies

At a hospital in my town, there are several doctors being terminated in a week because the refuse the clot shot and the mandate on hospital workers

What this COVID fiasco has taught me is that most doctors are nothing more than simpering bureaucrats.

Very good post, and a good lesson for all of us who claim to be supporters of freedom and liberty.

Hypocrite. She’s harming others by refusing to treat them.

“Really no different than the LGBTQ campaigners that seek out religious old lady bakers and demand they make them a wedding cake for their gay ‘marriage’.”

Perfect analogy. The only exception would be an emergency room doctor - if he refused to provide emergency care for an unvaccinated patient - he should go to jail - or worse.

Doctors have no legal obligation to provide primary care to people who refuse to follow their advice.

It's true that the Hippocratic Oath is not a law. It's just the oath you (used to) have to say to become a doctor at all.

It also included swearing not to perform abortions.

>>It’s true that the Hippocratic Oath is not a law.

Right, and while some will argue that refusing to see patients who are not vaccinated as violating that ‘oath’ to ‘do no harm’, one could easily argue that ‘do no harm’ means to some that doctors should refuse to make it easy for people who, in their opinion, are making poor choices - i.e. the ‘harm’ in this case is condoning people’s decision to make a bad choice.

‘Oaths’, like most things are open to interpretation.

Bottom line, if you are not happy with your doctor, find a new one - one that agrees with your own philosophy and the way you want to manage your own health. Some people want a doctor that will just write a script for whatever the person wants (not opioids of course), others might prefer a doctor that does everything they can to get the patient to adopt healthy habits so that medications are not needed - and only uses medications as a last resort.

You shouldn’t expect a doctor to override what they think is best for you, based on your non-medical opinion, anymore than your mechanic wants you telling him how the brakes on your car should be fixed based on something you saw on youtube.

” Why would someone want to be seen by a doctor if they think the doctor is wrong in the advice they are giving anyway?”

Qwerty, perhaps you live in a big city where there are unlimited choices of doctors to use. A lot of us don’t.

Consider the situation here in the little town I live on the outskirts of. Most all of the doctors here are hired and controlled by one of 3 Medical systems. The 2 docs who are independent of those systems have not been open to new patients in many years. Moving here 6 years ago when we retired and escaped big city progressives, we had no choice but to use one of the controled docs and to be honest it was not evident that the Medical systems had so much control over these Doctors until the plandemic hit.
