“Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins passed away on Thursday, October 21...”
Cancer is a horrible disease. We all know people who’ve died that way.
Doesn't say whether she checked the gun before setting it on a tray along with two others for the asst director to choose from.
So, she was too busy to do her job properly.
Try using that excuse if someone is killed at your shop. Not sure it would fly well.
Her statement clarifies another common misstatement by the media:
“... and the second was a stunt man after Hannah informed him his gun was hot with blanks,’ they said.”
So, when Baldwin was told that the gun was “cold” it meant that it was empty, not “hot with blanks.” The media kept telling us that Baldwin thought that it held blanks, but they use the term “hot with blanks”, not “cold.” He was told that it was empty. A simple peak at the revolver chambers would have told him otherwise.
She should have refused the job if she couldn’t do it safely.
Others walked off, but I think that was due to accomodations, but there may have also been safety complains related to that.
She is suggesting the guns were not used for plinking, and her assurance there makes sense to me. I think it’s likely they weren’t, and they haven’t found anyone who witnessed that, or knew of it directly.
Previously she stared when she examined the fired gun, she removed 4 dummy rounds, with holes drilled in them, and the spent casing.
But, she says she had complete control over the guns at all times, including lunch. If that is true, that would eliminate the possibility someone put a live round in the gun while it was unattended. She is removing part of her chain of custody defense.
If only her and the AD had access to the gun, and handled it before giving it to Baudwin, then how was the live round put into the gun?
Looking this over quickly - to the extent she is credible, the only thing she’s claimed absolution for her is leaving the gun unattended.

“however the 63-year-old has been subject to extreme online abuse in the wake of the incident.”
He’s been abused.
“Alec Baldwin’s Rust Armourer Speaks Out...”
Not really. Her attorneys spoke out for her. She has yet to utter a word.
Well, maybe “Oh, Schiff” when the gun went off...
“...shot one crew member and injured another...”
Oh, so they both survived? Another reprobate pretending to be a journalist. How about “...killed one crew member and winged another...” :-)
For obvious reasons...
Her and AD shoulda checked guns on cart before they were handed to idiot lines reader
I read somewhere that some of the film crew on their off time would practice shooting the prop guns with live ammo.
This is a statement written by and submitted by her attorneys
Narcissists like Baldwin are incapable of accepting responsibility for their actions.
All guns should be treated as loaded (at the very least until checked personally by anyone handling them).
I’m quite sure there’s a visible and weight difference between a blank round and a live round? Never saw a blank round before, except for a Hilti which is a .22 load with the end crimped.
